After a long time on his computer, the salesman announced an “out the door” price that was $7,000 above the sticker price for this used car, because he had secretly added “extras” without consulting me (so I told him to remove the “extras”). The finance manager sold me a $2,000 “service protection plan,” without mentioning the “exclusions” clause, which excluded all the things likely to go wrong with a car; and he never responded to my phone message and email telling him I wanted to cancel the plan (so I contacted the plan provider directly to cancel). Before I bought the car, all three of the employees who I dealt with called me frequently and returned my calls promptly. After I completed the purchase, all three abruptly stopped returning my calls. After I bought the car, an outer panel came away. They “fixed” it, but it came away again a few days later. If you want to endure cartoon-level clumsy attempts to fleece you out of money, and being “dumped” afterwards, I recommend team Chevrolet in Vallejo. More
