I went in to Mazda of El Cajon excited and ready to make my very first car purchase. I had found a car that I really wanted listed online for $21,500. As it turned out, this price was a complete and total l my very first car purchase. I had found a car that I really wanted listed online for $21,500. As it turned out, this price was a complete and total lie. After driving the car and ready to put pen to paper, I soon found out that the actual price of the car was thousands of dollars more than the advertised price as a consequence of mandatory and completely unnecessary add-ons and packages that were non-negotiable (all of which I would have had to pay taxes on, mind you). The price of the car taxes in, went from $23,500-$24,000 to almost $30,000 as a result the these "mandatory" add-ons (which after reading other reviews, I question if these add-ons, like ceramic coating, were actually even pre-installed, which would be outright illegal practice). The original seller (Jose) was kind and accommodating, the sales manager (Dwayne), however was an absolute nightmare. Dwayne utilized pressure and guilt tactics to get me to pre-maturely sign a predatory financing plan. When I asked for an itemized bill to see exactly what they were trying to get me to pay for, my request was ignored. As I negotiated the price alongside my father, the sales manager (Dwayne) then threw the fact that he had lowered the price of the car by taking away some (not all) of these "mandatory" add-ons in my face and said (paraphrasing)"...you've been making us run around to get all these discounts just to not make a deal?". After making clear that I was ready to walk away from what was turning into a horrible experience with predatory overtones, Dwayne then said (paraphrasing)"... I don't want you to leave, because people that leave don't come back, look at the car think about it and let's make a deal." These outright lies and blatant manipulation tactics are disgusting. I am glad that I had the sense to walk away, and would urge ANYONE who is considering buying a car from here to reconsider, this dealership preys on good people trying to have an honest and well-meaning experience based in good faith. More

Prices are advertise really low on used cars then they add a bunch of accessories that you don’t need and try to sell you a car with all of them like paying protection alarms break systems and another jun add a bunch of accessories that you don’t need and try to sell you a car with all of them like paying protection alarms break systems and another junk if you are considering buying a used car from them just at $5000 on top of the advertise price and that will be the actual sales price More

Not accredited with the BBB which is far from surprising. Even though they claim their accessories are optional they will try to slide the cost in and call it something else. They informed me they don't take a trade in or a down payment UNLESS you use their financing. I only found them because they are on my banks website for car buying. So for them to try anyway they could to use their own finance company is obviously their way of a side hustle. The sales associate i worked with was nice but the company from the top down is shady. Somehow the price online was 19,575 and after trade in and down (7,500) it became 19,890.. Someone should teach them how basic math works. More
