My biggest frustration with the service department is the consistent lack of communication. Customers should not have to repeatedly reach out just to get a basic update on the status of their vehicle. Throug consistent lack of communication. Throughout the process, I found myself constantly having to ask for updates rather than being kept informed. This has happened during multiple service visits, making an already frustrating situation even worse. The online status link provided by the dealership has also been unreliable. The last couple of times I have used it, the information did not accurately reflect the actual status of my vehicle. Most recently, I received a text from the service representative stating that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I checked the status link separately afterward, and it still showed that my vehicle was “in process.” If customers are being directed to use this system for updates, the information should be accurate and updated in a timely manner. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose and leaves customers having to contact the service department anyway. I was also disappointed with the professionalism of the communication I received. the representative responds to me in ALL CAPS, which comes across as yelling and it is unnecessary and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this is also the same representative I seem to get most of the time, and my experiences with him have consistently felt dismissive and accompanied by an attitude. Customers bringing their vehicles in for service should feel respected and should be kept informed without having to constantly chase someone down for answers. Nissan should seriously consider improving both its communication process and the accuracy of its online vehicle status system, as well as reinforcing basic standards of professionalism with its service representatives. Customers should be able to trust the updates they receive, whether they come from the representative or through the system Nissan provides. More
