Overall pleasant experience I purchased a 2014 Subaru from the used car dealership. I spoke with the salesman and told him my situation with bad credit and he said he could help me get financed even with bad credit. He was right and he was able to keep the payment where I needed it. What I liked most about the entire experience was there was no "game playing"going back and fourth between us and the finance department. I told them what I wanted the payment to be and they made it happen and in a timely manner as we'll. The salesman was also friendly and courteous. Allowing me to take the car home to see if my wife liked the car was also a huge time saver. The finance department was also very professional and did not try to force extended warranties and other optional add ons, although she did offer and explain them. Overall this dealership was a pleasant change from the normal "gotta get that sale and money" dealerships. I would recommend anyone to give them a try. More

Continuous water leaking after heavy rain After purchasing my Saturn Outlook XR in Feb. 2008 I continued to have water leaking in the driver, passenger and eventually the backup light sensor i After purchasing my Saturn Outlook XR in Feb. 2008 I continued to have water leaking in the driver, passenger and eventually the backup light sensor in the ceiling for object closeness. This resulted in some cases of the engine not cutting off and other electrical problems and eventually knocking out the navigation and radio that had to be replaced. This issue never fixed while the vehicle was under warranty and things got worse after warranty expired. Carpet and padding underneath was always wet and I eventually had to spend $400 to have them clean it up. This should have never happened. This was under Sterling Chevrolet. Then Ted Britt took over the dealership and things changed immediately. New service manager Tom Linnehan indicated that he was going to fix the problems at no cost to me. He tried. Every time water leaked in the car he said bring it end. It kept happening no matter how hard he and his folks tried to fix it. I got so frustrated that I talked to the new General Manager Jason Fischburn and things really started to change. Tom left and Mike Kohler took over as Service Manager. I told Jason that if the issue could not be fixed I was going sell it to CarMax. A car that I loved except for the water issue. He told me that they would keep trying and the last time I took it in, they kept it for 15 days. Mike Kohler the new service manager, gave me a free car rental, which would have happened if it were still under warranty. Remember that this issue was never resolved during the warranty period. Nevertheless, we have had heavy rain fall since I got my Saturn back. NO LEAKING. That means that I can keep it for a long time since it just turn 30,000 miles last Saturday. I take our Chrysler 300M in for oil change at Ted Britt. Jason Fischburn and Mike Kohler both said we are going to fix this problem and they did. I think they pulled down the overhead and see where the water was not draining, which Jason had indicated that need to be done. I have read some horror story on Edmunds from poor souls who have the problem (drain tubes were to small and not able to remove water coming in from heavy rain around sun roof) some of them were never resolved. If you are in the Northern Virginia area and you have a Chevy or Saturn or any GM car I recommend these guys. Chris Thomas was my service rep at Saturn and he is at Ted Britt Chevrolet. Only one left from Saturn. If we replaced the Chrysler 300M (low miles also and no problems) it would be with a Malibu or Impala. Plus On-Star is OUTSTANDING. No navigation system in any other car can match it. I get fee car wash and state inspection as part of my original contract. I know that if I have a problem with service on my Saturn I have people that I can depend on to resolve it and not be "burned" in the process. No dealer that I have ever dealt with has been as good as Ted Britt Chevrolet in Sterling, Va. More

I started out thinking I wanted a small vehicle, one that would handle the snow we often have in the area. I was not prepared to have such a large selection of cars available for view. Sean continued to ask questions about what features and how the car would be used, as a local driving or long distance trips, or just for a combination of both. Most of the driving in within a 100 mile radius and not on long distance travel. I soon realized the smaller car that I thought I wanted was not going to work. Sean showed us the CRUZE and I was sold. I had a wide selection to choose from, Sean took the time to ask additional questions about features wanted and explained the advantages that the CRUZE had and the overall performance of the car. I fell in love with a BRIGHT RED CRUZE. At no time did I feel pressure to "get it now", instead my husband and I were able to discuss the purchase, the car selected, and any features without pressure from anyone. Once the decision was made, our processing the purchase was very smooth. Ms. Simpson and Ms. Lair were responsible for paving a smooth path to delivery and ownership of my new car. I feel very confident that if any issues arise I can return the TED BRITT Chevrolet and receive excellent service, and advice from the staff. There's only one way that can be, and that's a corporate commitment to excellence. Believe me, they've hit the mark. Based on a briefly promising and then sour experience with our local Chevy dealer, my wife and I decided not to get a 2014 Suburban. A residual e-mail response from Ted Britt caught my eye, though. I was absolutely impressed with their apparent pricing, and decided to give them a call. I went from GM Jason to Omar, and knew within five minutes that I could do business with him. He was perfectly attentive, even intuitive, answering many of my questions before I could answer them. He was straightforward and earnest, and absolutely motivated to sell me a Suburban on my terms. Omar made it clear upfront that there was just about zero wriggle-room in the Internet pricing, and I appreciated his candor. He quickly grasped my desires and concerns, and moved heaven and earth to satisfy me...over the phone. Very, very flexible and creative. He set me up with a couple of his Suburbans, but I balked over internal concerns. Then he volunteered to sweep the area for other Suburbans more to my liking. In the event, Omar delivered on those other vehicle offers, via dealer-exchange, and still improved on the terms for his own Suburbans. Bottom line? Omar asked me if he could get me in his vehicle for x-dollars a month, would that work. I said yes, but I doubted he could do it. Well, he did. After an hour or so total on the phone with Omar, my wife and I drove past about five Chevy dealers to get to Ted Britt on a Saturday. Anticipating our arrival, and our virtual deal, Omar had the Suburban washed and gassed, and he handed us off to Spencer. Spencer was cut from the same cloth as Omar -- forthright and earnest, absolutely motivated to make the deal. There were zero hitches, zero surprises, and we closed the deal. We were at the showroom for two hours, barely, and we couldn't imagine a more pleasant and satisfying car-buying experience. We had the further pleasure of meeting briefly with Andy Britt and GM Jason, after having chatted briefly with each of them over the phone. Financial Manager Carey, like everyone at Ted Britt, was a perfect pro! These guys are the real deal. If you live in the National Capital Region and are interested in a Chevy, you gotta go to Ted Britt in Sterling, Virginia. Sterling, indeed -- they are absolutely top drawer! And seriously -- if you're interested in another make that Ted Britt offers, give serious consideration to working with Britt. We worked closely with Omar and Spencer, and they were absolutely fantastic. We dealt briefly with Andy, Jason, and Carey, and they seemed just as good. That's no accident, that's a commitment to excellence by Ted Britt. I know quality when I see it, and there's no doubt about it -- Ted Britt is a quality outfit. I've been buying cars for longer than any of these folks have been selling them, and I've never been more impressed. They cut right into their profit margin to make a deal with me. I ended up purchasing the second requested car 2014 Malibu LT. Most beautiful cat I have ever owned. Everyone I worked with was amazing!
