USED CAR PURCH - VERY POOR EXPEIENCE -USED SM AND SALES REP TED BRITT CHEVROLET (USED CAR SALES DEPT.) REVIEW I WAS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 07/31/2017 FOR A BRAKE REPLACEMENT WAS TOLD BY THE USED CAR SM TED BRITT CHEVROLET (USED CAR SALES DEPT.) REVIEW I WAS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 07/31/2017 FOR A BRAKE REPLACEMENT WAS TOLD BY THE USED CAR SM (WHO I ALSO SENT THIS USPS) “I WANT YOU TO BE A HAPPY CUSTOMER”. LET ME ASK YOU IF ANYONE SHOULD BE AFTER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS. I PURCHASED MY 2014 TAHOE LTZ ON 7/17. I WAS LOOKING FOR QUITE SOME TIME FOR THIS EXACT VEHICLE OR SUBURBAN. FIRST--- AS I DROVE HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP I NOTICED THE GAS GAUGE WAS ONLY READING ABOUT 60% FULL... I CONTACTED MY SALESMAN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY NORMALLY ONLY PUT "20 BUCKS IN BUT I GOT $30-- ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? ON A $40,000 VEHICLE??--(7/17) I HAVE PURCHASED NUMEROUS VEHICLES, NEW AND USED, AND HAVE NEVER LEFT THE LOT WITHOUT A FULL TANK OF GAS?? ---NEXT- I MENTIONED I LEFT APPROX. $20 INCHANGE/BILLS IN ASH TRAY---NEVER RECOVERED NOT SURE IF RESEARCHED BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS GONE SO OOPS, I GUESS==OK FOR SOMEONE TO TAKE IT—MY MISTAKE/LOSS????? (7/17) ----NEXT- KEY TAG WITH VEHICLE STATED 2 KEYS-- NOPE ONLY ONE. TOLD THEY COULDN’T FIND THE OTHER ONE (7/17) - -- I HAD TO PURCHASE MY OWN KEY AND FOB ONLINE, AND SPENT APPROXIMATELY $55 TO GET KEYS/CUT AND FOB PROGRAMNED. (THOUGHT SELLER WOULD HAVE PROVIDED TO ME OR OFFERED) – (OF COURSE NOT) SPENT 2.5 HOURS OF "MY" TIME AT THE LOCKSMITH (7?21) ---NEXT- NO CERTIFICATION PAPERWORK WAS PROVIDED ON ADVERTISED CPO VEHICLE (7/17) I ASKED TWICE AND FINALLY RECEIVED JUST AN INVOICE IN THE MAIL. HOWEVER NOT THE "OFFICIAL SIGNED FORM"-- CHECKLIST ---NEXT...BRAKES BEGAN SQUEEKING VERY LOUDLY WHEN COMING TO THE END OF A STOP. – MADE SERVICE APPT. (7/24) AS I WRITE THIS I HAVE BEEN IN SERVICE DEPT. FOR 2 HRS SO FAR --NEXT MY SALES REP RETRIEVED A COPY OF MY CPO FORM AFTER MULTIPLE REQUESTS AND DELIVERED TO ME IN SERVICE DEPT. (BTW- I NEVER SAW NOR SIGNED THIS FORM (EVER)----WHICH IS PART OF THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS) ----NEXT I AM TOLD, BYUC SM THAT THE BRAKES THAT ARE ON HAVE FORMED A GLAZE. HE EXPLAINED ABOUT THE GLAZE AND OFFERED TO SUPPLY NEW PADS IF I WOULD HAVE THEM INSTALLED ELSEWHERE----.WHAT THE ÷×+..ARE YOU SERIOUS???--UNBELIEVABLE = SERVICE REP HEARD CONVERSATION AND SHOOK HIS HEAD HE THEN STATED HE WOULD HAVE THEM ALL REPLACED AFTER I "MILDLY" OBJECTED. I DID OFFER TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW HUNDRED MILES TO SEE IF IT CORRECTED ITSELF AS HE STATED IT WOULD, BUT HE INSISTED TO REPLACE THEM SO I WOULD BE A "HAPPY CUSTOMER" ---- I DID SOME RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED THE SQUEEK MAY NOT " FIX ITSELF" AND COULD NOT BELIEVE HE WANTED ME TO HAVE THEM PUT ON ELSEWHERE-- A $40,000 CERTIFED CHEVROLET OWNED FOR 14 DAYS AND HE WANTS TO GIVE ME THE BRAKES TO BE PUT ON ELSEWHERE WHICH COULD HAVE VOIDED MY WARRANTY—SMH. IT IS NOW 5:25 PM, JUST SHY OF 3.5 HRS IN..NOW I CAN JUST HIT I66 TRAFFIC GOING HOME "YAY." ---- LAST POINT I KNOW HOW IT WORKS WHEN YOU TRADE IN A VEHICLE. I NEVER SHOULD HAVE ACCEPTED THE "GREAT/BEST" OFFER OF $9K FOR MY 2007 LEXUS GX 470, HOWEVER, PAINT WAS CHIPPING A LITTLE AND POSSIBLY SOME MECHANICAL WORK DOWN THE ROAD THAT I AM SURE WAS NOT DONE BEFORE IT WAS PUT ON THE LOT —I WAS TOLD TO MY FACE BY THE SM THAT IT WAS GOING TO AUCTION. I HAVE ALWAYS SOLD MY USED CARS OUTRIGHT (5 OVER THE LAST 5 YEARS) AND I KNOW THERE IS A PRICING ADVANTAGE AS WELL AS SOME STRESS FROM SELLING BY OWNER. BUT TO SEE THE LEXUS LISTED AT $14,880 ON THE FRONT OF THE LOT (AND I HAD NOT EVEN TURNED OVER THE TITTLE), BLEW MY MIND – I WAS TOLD DIRECTLY IT WAS GOING TO AUCTION!!!!!!!!!! BEING TOLD IT WAS GOING TO THE AUCTION WAS AN OUT AND OUT LIE. --- "LET THE BUYER BEWARE" (NO TRUER WORDS HAVE BEEN SPOKEN. I AM SURE THE VEHICLE WILL NOT likely SELL FOR $14,800 BUT MAYBE. SO NICE HONESTY WHEN YOU LIED AND SAID YOU WERE ONLY MAKING $500 ON THE VEHICLE WHAT THE???? I AM SURE SOME WORK WAS PUT INTO IT BUT A "FAIR DEAL FOR ME"““(DOUBTFUL) COME ONNNNN MAN!!!!!!! I PAY ASKING PRICE AND I WAS CRUSHED ON MY TRADE IN—GUESS THAT’S THE GAME BUT FAR FROM FAIR AND EQUITABLE. Although I know they are in the business to make a profit, I was 100% honest with my vehicle and nothing I was told about my trade in was truthful I can guarantee you that I will not buy a vehicle from this location again when my wife is in the market for a vehicle this coming year or my three kids or close friends that I have in the area and on Facebook. I thought the new/used car business had changed. My recent experiences, before Ted Britt, were much more positive, but not on this purchase, I DO WANT TO SAY THE SERVICE PERSONAL HAS BEEN GREAT... THE REASON I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PUT THIS ALL TOGETHER HAS BEEN DUE TO MY SHORT VISIT TO HAVE MY CERTIFIED VEHICLES BRAKES PROBLEM ALLEVIATED.... Called and ask Anthony -Are you sure theses prices are correct. I live in Alexandria and I do not want to travel to Sterling Virginia for nothing.Anthony assured me he would make the price of the car work. OMG He did it! Along with Angel ( Finance mgr) and Angie( Sales mgr) By the way I shopped the interest rate and they matched it. Not so happy at first with Ed in the finance dept. - he did only the paper work . He started out very rude - I almost walked out- but later he become friendly. Ask for Anthony or Angie ..what a great team of people at Ted Britt Chevy It was worth the trip. More

Outstanding Service I inherited an Avalanche that's now 15 years old. The breaks were replaced by another service shop and that's were my problems started (vibration felt I inherited an Avalanche that's now 15 years old. Took it back a second time, then took it to another shop also twice for the same problem and no one got it right. Took it Ted Britt's Chevrolet in Sterling and they got it right the first time around (an ABS sensor was kaput)! Received 5-Star customer service from Chris Thomas, and met one of the subject matter experts who identified the problem (Eddie). I have nothing but praise for the Ted Britt Chevrolet team and cannot see myself taking the truck anywhere else for the rest of its useful life. More
