Terrible Service Department Let me start by saying I do much of the basic work on my vehicles. I am a craftsman so I have a vast collection of tools and know how to turn a wrench. Because of this, my vehicle usually only visits the service dept. for warranty work. I tried to let Ted Britt do the maintenance but because of the poor work I decided to do it myself. Examples are using the wrong weight oil for my engine to distorting all my lug nuts so that my 19mm ire iron would no longer fit on the lugs. I have a long list and it's very frustrating. I was so looking forward to my new 2013 Escape, it's a shame that Ted Britt might actually keep me from ever buying another Ford. The icing on the cake was my last visit. My Escape started leaking oil. The service dept. replaced oil pan gasket and engine cover gasket. Not an easy job at all. But when I got it back and crawled underneath and under the hood, I noticed that they left off about 60% of my fasteners. The wheel well splash shield was missing almost all of them. All of my screws were stripped that attaches the under body engine cover. The next day I noticed that my hood was dented from someone pushing down on it too hard when they closed it. and to top it off, I had to tell the service advisor about the recall on my vehicle! I thought they ran your VIN for safety recalls!! Both locations have much to learn about taking pride in their work. I understand that Ford doesn't pay very well for warranty work, but is that my fault?? Is it my fault that I have had several problems with my new vehicle? Just because I know a little about working on cars and can spot poor workmanship doesn't mean anything, right? What kind of workmansjhip are you giving people that don't check your work? Another example is my new Escape had a misaligned rear hatch. I gave the dealer two tries to fix it. They couldn't. I fixed it myself one afternoon. I have several stories and if the Britt family is interested in hearing them I would gladly meet to discuss. I can list the service advisors, but the blame really falls on the techs and the upper management. More

We purchased a 2014 Fu My family has been coming to Ted Britt Ford of Fairfax for over 25 years. Never have we been treated with this much disrespect. We purchased a 2014 Fusion after shopping all the competitors. I am thoroughly disappointed with this dealership. Gary in service is an amazing guy! He is the only reason I can give this dealership two stars. We needed the car that day and went to them because the sales price online was a steal however when we got there they went along with that price till the end where all of a sudden it was at original msrp. These sales people are not trustworthy. The management is horrible. The last situation I've had to deal with with my car involved corporate and the dealer. The dealer refused to call ford corporate, and insisted I was lying about the situation. I was informed by the service manager that he did not believe me. I asked him to look at the car and he promptly told me to drop the car off for a few days sparkly clean and he would look at it at some point. Look at all the reviews on line of dealerships before you purchase from one. We didn't and now we regret it. If you do decide to have your car serviced there I highly recommend working with Gary in service. He knows his cars, he knows his customers, and most of all he's knowledgeable and will do everything he can to support you and stand up for you. Of all the service I've ever received he is the absolute best! More

worst finance manager ever dealt with in my 40+ years buying seems she really doesn't have a clue and don't know how she got her position. How do you mistake a credit app on a van that is obviously not a passenger vehicle. Made my credit score go down by having several hard inquiries go through and get denied. For such a large dealership didn't think they were really just another car mill seeing how many vehicles they can push through without really taking care of their customers. I gave them all my info and history upfront and after 2 hours driving and sitting in the dealership for 3 hours. Total waste of time. wouldn't buy from them if they gave it to me for free. And remember, my credit score will be over 780 by next summer!! Your loss, and all the people I tell!! More

Unresponsive and unreliable. I bought a 2014 Mustang this past July. Daniel Martinez, the salesman I worked with was friendly and helpful. The first problem happened as I was I bought a 2014 Mustang this past July. Daniel Martinez, the salesman I worked with was friendly and helpful. The first problem happened as I was getting ready to sign the final document and noticed that it was about $500 more than what we had agreed to. Upon closer inspection the dealer discovered that the originally agreed price assumed Virginia taxes, which were approximately $500 less. This was after they had a copy of my Maryland diver's license, discussed where in Maryland I was from and gave them my phone number with a Maryland area code. They only agreed to get close to the originally agreed upon price when I threatened to leave with my old car. When we were signing the paperwork I was told the dealer would send the title to the creditor I obtained the loan from and would take care of transferring my registration from my old car to the new one. Six weeks later I still can't get in touch with anyone at this dealer, and no one will return my calls or provide me with information regarding even the status of the transfer. To this day I still do not know if they've actually started the transfer process, and they have not sent the title in as agreed. Andy Britt, in particular, has been unreliable and unresponsive. When the expiration for my first temporary registration was approaching I attempted to make contact with Andy several times over the course of a few days. On the rare occasion he actually talked to me he would reassure me that he was looking into it and that he was going to send me a new temporary registration so that I could drive my car to work. He did not. I ended up having to get in contact with another individual in the finance department, Nichole Buchanan, just to find out that there was a hold on my previous vehicle, because the sale documentation had never been sent to the MVA by the dealer. Unlike everyone else I had attempted to work with since the sale, she was actually responsive and did what she said she would do. Total time from the sale until I had license plates and a registration for my car: 48 days. Shortly after creating the initial version of this review I did get a call from Natasha Kapoor, who seemed genuinely upset with the treatment I had received. She helped get the ball rolling again. I had my license plates and registration the next day. It is because of her and Nichole that I have returned to update this review and give them a slightly more positive rating. More

Over the top best experience I would like to thank all employees I had the opportunity to deal with on my visit to Ted Britt. All were very kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. I would like to thank all employees I had the opportunity to deal with on my visit to Ted Britt. All were very kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. I saw my Mustang I purchased on the internet called and talked to JT and he set me up an appointment. I received a call from Brian Forster letting me know he was waiting for my arrival. I walked inside the show room and he spotted me and introduced himself and was very relaxed and calm. He then took me outside to look at my trade in vehicle and introduced me to Daniel who took me to see the 2015 Mustang I called about. Daniel proceeded to walk me through all options and history of the car. When I was satisfied with the car I asked Daniel to work me up a price and with very little time we reached a satisfying number for the Mustang. Nate was very helpful with the additional coverage I was able to get for the exterior and interior. Then I was taken to Natasha and Daniel in financing were they would get me through all forms to get me on my way to work. Great experience for someone not knowing what to expect, Thanks to all involved. Love my Mustang More

Excellent I went in with a limit in mind and very specific colors and options for a 2015 Ford Explorer. What I walked out with was a new 2016 with more options and for the price I was willing to pay for the 2015! My salesman Tommy was great, along with the others from financing. I am still curious to see how the Ted Britt for life works out, but the overall buying experience was GREAT and I would recommend Ted Britt. More

The rep who helped me was Nazrul Islam and as soon a I walked in I felt like he was trying work with me in finding the car I wanted at the best price available. You hear horror stories about car salesman but this guy was was the complete opposite. Helpful, respectful to my family and I and even brought me and my family some water when he thought we might be thirsty. Going to the dealership wit a two year old and 5 month old is a bad idea but the guys hospitable personality made it less stressful, lol! He helped me find the car I wanted at a great price and I felt completely content when I left. Next car I get will be at Ted Britt fairfax and besides the great car it will be because of customer service like the one I received. He treated us like he would want to be treated and not a lot of people do that these days. More
