Tempe Dodge opened in the Tempe Autoplex in May 1993. We started with one basic philosophy …. to consistently exceed our customer’s expectations. Our customers have shown us great loyalty and support over the years, and because of them, we are now one of the largest Dodge dealerships in the entire USA. In May of 2008, we proudly added the Chrysler & Jeep brands to our lineup.. We feel that we are different from most dealerships. We do not believe in spending huge amounts of money on newspaper ads, or radio and television commercials each month like many of our competitors. That would raise our costs of doing business and we would have to pass those costs on to our customers. That would not be fair. Instead, we chose to build Tempe Dodge one relationship and one customer at a time. Because of this, a large part of our business each month is from repeat and referral customers. We truly feel that the sale of the vehicle is just the beginning, not the end. Thanks to our loyal customers, our Sales, Parts and Service Departments have grown steadily year after year. Rajish, I was alarmed to read your letter about what happened when you came to look at new cars. I apologize that we did not do a very good job of helping you. I spoke to Freddy and to his manager Luis about the situation. They had a somewhat different version but nonetheless, we obviously dropped the ball. Rajish, I had a long talk with Freddy and I’m not sure exactly where the conflict between you and he began during your visit. Freddy sold vehicles at another dealership for quite some time and came highly recommended when we hired him. He has been with us for 3-4 months now and he has received many favorable compliments and letters from his customers. He has been reliable, punctual and an all-around solid employee since he started. All of that does not excuse the fact that he did not provide you with the kind of customer service that you and every one of our customers deserves. I do not believe that your comment describing Freddy “as a guy who unnecessarily causes trouble and have no idea about a service industry” is indicative of his overall day-to-day performance. Again, I do apologize that Freddy did not make you feel welcome and important because Tempe Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram thinks that you are. Since our business is really the “people” business, there will occasionally be times when the personalities of the individuals involved do not match up very well. We have over 160 employees and we strive for total customer satisfaction every time we have contact with a consumer. We do value customer loyalty and we have made hundreds of thousands of customers happy since we opened in 1993. We have consistently been one of the top volume dealerships in the USA for that very reason. Again, I regret that we dropped the ball with you yesterday.
