I went to Tempe Dodge as they had an elaborate description of how their business model is based on customer to customer and not on big ad spending. A few of my friends warned me that they are no longer that great customer oriented dealership they used to be and they don't take their YOUNG buyers seriously. I was directed to a short filipino guy named Freddy . I wanted a Dodge Challenger by the end of the week. He opened the inventory page and started talking about the stock levels and took me out to show me Dodge Chargers. I said I asked for a 'Challenger' and he started to show a frowning face as if it was my fault that he did not have the patience to listen to me properly. I said I currently have bad credit but I am willing to put down my signing bonus of my new job which accounts for about 15% of the vehicle value. He wanted to do a credit check. I said,he can do a credit check after he gives an estimate of worst case scenario , so I can check if it would match my needs. Else it would be a wasted hard credit inquiry that will be on my credit report for the next 2 years. Moreover I printed out a new credit report myself today morning for him to view so that he can give an estimate and if it matches my needs, he can go ahead and run a formal credit check. Then he said " this is the first time he is hearing about hard and soft checks" and said that there are no such things as "soft or hard checks". This showed his incompetence, as a car salesman is supposed to know the A to Z of credit. While I was trying to explain to him the difference, he cut me off and said he cant waste anymore time and I had to leave. I talked to him for barely 20 minutes. I came in around 3:05pm and met him at 3:10 and he kicked me out at 3:30pm. I can't believe that he does not have the patience to talk to a customer for more than 20 minutes ???? just 20 minutes ???? I am not sure if just this guy Freddy was like that or the entire dealership is disrespectful. I am a very polite person but got so sad because I have never treated anyone like this or been treated this way. I immediately tried to call their general manger and let him know of their employee's unprofessional behavioral. But he was in a meeting and I couldn't reach him. However I had a humiliating experience and would never ever visit them again and would definitely not recommend them to any of my friends. I am a high-earning individual with equally high-earning friends and I would never be able to recommend them even if they were the last dealer in town. These guys do not know how to stay competitive in the free-market. When I first came to America, what I found amazing was the immaculate work-ethic and the thriving free-market that provides consumers with variety of options. People will be willing to pay more money if the service provider was courteous and welcoming. What you need in a bad economy is loyal customers. Tempe Dodge, with this attitude will not last long. I always look forward to bringing my Ram in for service because David treats me like a friend rather than a customer. I am a professional pilot and demand the best service and maintenance for my Ram, thus preventing break-downs on the road. In all respects, David has earned my trust and confidence over the past ten years. Everyone at Tempe Dodge is friendly and treats me as a valued customer so I won't take my Ram to any other dealer for service or maintenance. Whenever I have a issue with my Ram all I have to do is call or stop by the dealership and David will work me into the schedule to fix my problem. Today, I stopped by with a check engine light and David dropped everything to figure out what the problem was. As a result I have a 2:30 appointment to update the computer on my Ram. I just got the BEST service in town thanks to David. Three years ago at 106,000 miles I blew out the front transfer case on my 2006 Ram. Of course it was out of warranty and I faced a very expensive repair bill (over $4,000.00). David worked with the dealership to get me the best hourly maintenance rate to keep the repair costs as low as possible. This is just one example of his honesty, integrity and concern for his customers. As a result, I have been a loyal customer and hopefully his friend. Carl D. Balhorn More

My Service Rep is David Stanley and he is wonderful! I have found David to have the highest level of integrity and to be very reliable. He takes the time to explain what services the van needs to keep it running smoothly. Additionally, when something needs repaired he educates me on what needs to be corrected and why. I always leave feeling like I have made a good decision and knowing my vehicle will be completed when promised. He and his team of mechanics keep my van running in great condition, while still working within my budget. I would recommend David and Tempe Dodge to anyone. When it comes time to buy a new vehicle I will definitely go here and then rely on David to keep me going to 100,000+ miles. More

Then I met Rick Abrams...Rick is a wonderful person and an extremely patient and professional salesman! I had the most amazing new car purchase experience. Rick took the time to truly listen and understand what I was shopping for and what car would be best for me and my situation. I told him my price range, and he did his best to get me close to that, and most importantly I never felt any pressure from him to buy, or that I was wasting his time. My car was not ready for delivery the day that I purchased it, however, Rick went out of his way to exceed my expectations. He drove my new car to my work to drop it off to me and take the dealer-loaner car back. The most touching part of this story is Rick is so attentive to details, he noticed that I had forgotten my guardian angel on the visor of my old car...Rick took the time to take the angel off the visor of the old car and had inserted on the visor of the new car, so when he delivered my car to me, it was on there. This was a very kind and thoughtful gesture...one that will not be forgotten! I want to say thank you to Rick and to his supervisor Art. Art came over to check on me a few times throughout the process, which I thought was a nice touch. It is clear to see, Art is a caring and supportive leader to his team. Thank you Rick and Art! At Tempe Dodge, I worked with Scott Purvis and he was patient and worked with me to help me find the car I wanted that fit in my budget. The sales team, finance team, and service team were all helpful. Very happy and still love my mini-van! More
