Tempe Dodge opened in the Tempe Autoplex in May 1993. We started with one basic philosophy …. to consistently exceed our customer’s expectations. Our customers have shown us great loyalty and support over the years, and because of them, we are now one of the largest Dodge dealerships in the entire USA. In May of 2008, we proudly added the Chrysler & Jeep brands to our lineup.. We feel that we are different from most dealerships. We do not believe in spending huge amounts of money on newspaper ads, or radio and television commercials each month like many of our competitors. That would raise our costs of doing business and we would have to pass those costs on to our customers. That would not be fair. Instead, we chose to build Tempe Dodge one relationship and one customer at a time. Because of this, a large part of our business each month is from repeat and referral customers. We truly feel that the sale of the vehicle is just the beginning, not the end. Thanks to our loyal customers, our Sales, Parts and Service Departments have grown steadily year after year. BUYER BEWARE!! Do not purchase a vehicle from Tempe Chrysler Jeep Dodge. I purchased a 2018 Dodge Charger R/T from them. There was a stripe on the hood so I asked if they could remove it. They stated "It's a sticker. It's easy to remove". After the stripe was removed, there was damage on the hood. l found out later that the damage is from hail/bad pdr (paintless dent repair). I spoke to Dodge Customer Service (FCA) and they told me to take the vehicle to a dealership with a body shop. The total estimated damage is $9,476. The damage exceeds almost half its value. The purchase price was $24,776 with taxes and fees. I was informed by Dodge Customer Service (FCA) that the car is not "Certified Pre-owned" and a hail damaged vehicle cannot be "Certified". Tempe Chrysler Jeep Dodge sold the vehicle as "Certified" but never registered it. The CPO warranty (100,000 miles) they sold me does not exist (they sold me an invalid warranty). Tempe Chrysler Jeep Dodge purchased the vehicle from a wholesaler who specializes in auto hail repair. The wholesaler purchased the vehicle from the Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies which is located in Colorado where there are documented hail storms. Despite receiving millions from a PPP loan. These crooks are maximizing their profits through predatory tactics against consumers. I have filed a Civil Complaint against WJK Tempe Automotive Inc. dba Tempe Chrysler Jeep Dodge aka Bill Kay's Tempe Dodge at the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County. They have admitted to the claims asserted but they have stated through their attorney that "they did not have any knowledge of the hail damage and I am going to spend a bunch of time and money but I will not be able to demonstrate they knew about the damage". I strongly disagree with this assertion. The facts do not lie: They purchased the vehicle from a wholesaler who specializes in auto hail repair. They sold the vehicle as "Certified Pre-owned" but failed to register it. After I signed the paperwork, they tried to convince me to not remove the strip. The stripe only appeared where the damage was apparent. After the stripe was removed they tried to trick me into signing paperwork stating they were not responsible. This behavior is inconsistent with their claim of not knowing. This unscrupulous dealership has 24 complaints with BBB, 30+ bad reviews and they have had over a dozen civil complaints filed against them in Justice and Superior Court. They are attempting to force arbitration to evade adjudication. Forcing arbitration gives companies a "get-out-of-jail-free" card to evade accountability for violating the law and for problems with their products or service. Forcing arbitration maintains secrecy and discourages legal remedies. They are not even operating in accordance with ADOT dealer requirements. Arizona's Dealers Licensing requires a $100,000 surety bond. They have a $25,000 bond. If they think I am going to let this go that will never happen. I encourage anyone who has had an issue with these crooks to hold them accountable. File a complaint with Business Consumer Alliance www.checkbca.org and the Attorney General's Office. File a claim in Small Claims Court and a claim against their bond. Their bond company is RLI insurance Co. (800-274-2242).

Depending on which bank ultimately picks up the loan, there can be additional documents required. It is not uncommon for customers to need to come in for additional signatures. Delays from customers coming in to sign those additional documents can hold up checks being sent for payoff on their trades.
