Armando greeted us as soon as we parked our car and from that moment in gave us exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the cars you had on your lot and we never felt any pressure from him to buy a car. Once we decided to buy our Soul he moved us along as quickly as he was able to die to the Labor Day rush. We had to wait a little longer for our financing but we kept ourselves entertained with the great music played in your showroom and with the football games playing on the TVs. When we met with your finance department we were explained about the different packages quickly and never felt any pressure to purchase anything we didn’t want. I give your dealership an A++ and PS the Hyundai dealer still has yet to return my call More

This would be our third Kia dealership of the day and Tempe Kia's website, along with Kia's main website said they had over a dozen currently available. After spending some time on the lot without a visit from any sales personnel, we made our way to the front where one of the four stingers they actually had was on display near the front doors. A salesman came out to greet us and began to help us. When we asked about the stinger in front, he said it was sold and had been sold for several days... this seemed odd and was quite disappointing. Not sure of the reason for leaving a sold vehicle on display for several days and leading customers to believe it's available. Honestly seemed a little shady and deceptive. When we asked about the other Stingers available, the salesman said the website was wrong and that they regularly keep more inventory available online than what is truly available to drive contacts and foot traffic to the dealership. Again, incredibly disappointing, dishonest, shady and quite the let down for us. Nonetheless, there was a stinger that we liked and we chose to sit down to talk numbers and provide info about our trade. Another annoyance/red flag was the salesman flat out saying our trade was worthless and wouldn't help us on our deal... KBB lists our trade as being worth 5K-7K if sold privately, so we knew the vehicle wasn't worthless. Still, getting desperate to find a stinger, we did the usual back and forth with a salesman. During so, our salesman kept our keys held hostage at his sales managers desk preventing us from leaving and making us feel like we were held against our will. Again, frustrating in the least. After a half dozen trips to his sales manager and us insisting on leaving because we were frustrated beyond our wits at that point, we finally landed where we wanted to be. Not getting the best vibe and still unsure if we wanted to spend that amount of money, we said that we wanted to leave to think about it. At this point he brought his sales manager over to talk to us. Anyone who has bought a car knows sales managers have a reputation of being rude, pushy, intimidating and generally unpleasant. This was an understatement for this guy. He walked over yelling "We got where you wanted, whats the deal?!" to which we responded we just wanted to leave and think about it. At this point he literally turned away and waved us off without a word. Beyond rude. Not to mention their sales pit is in the open so xxxx talking carries quite easily. If you're looking for the stereotypical car buying experience, this is the place for you. Rude, apathetic sales personnel. Pushy, arrogant sales managers. As a concluding note, we left and called Camelback Kia to see if it would be alright to stop in at 8:45pm, cause it was late and 15 before closing... They said absolutely. We arrived to the vehicle we were interested in being pulled up and ready to look at, reached a deal within 20 minutes with our trade getting a reasonable number, and left with a 40k kia stinger that night. Truly an exceptional experience. More

UPDATE: MULTIPLE ISSUES Dishonest, Rude, Disrespectful UPDATE: Multiple issues. I have responded via text and email several times. Received a response from John Chavez 2 days after initial contact and was UPDATE: Multiple issues. I have responded via text and email several times. Received a response from John Chavez 2 days after initial contact and was told I'm now waiting on Chuck Flair. I'll update after follow-up Frankie was great. Helped me purchase my first ever new vehicle with a decent credit for my trade-in. Even finance was straight up with me which is rare. I wish I could have afforded the bumper to bumper coverage, but it took me out of my ability to pay, and Joey in finance didn't pressure me after I said I wouldn't be able to afford it. Update after meeting: As mentioned in email and via text conversation, I arrived at Kia at approximately 9:17 for the windshield fix and to speak with sales. I had this confirmation in an email from John Chavez as well as Frankie via the text chat. Walked past the sales desks and no Frankie present. Proceeded to the manager’s corner and no John Chavez either. Chuck was present and claimed to be blindsided by the conversation. Chuck communicated that what was said did not matter-- in essence, that sales staff are able to lie and the customer’s responsibility is to distrust them. I mentioned an additional issue I failed to address in the original email to John-- headlights. Frankie and I had a significant conversation about the headlights prior to test drive (fuel indicated only 19 miles before empty) after the test drive, during negotiations, and again while moving my personal belongings into the new vehicle. We spoke about the LED headlights and I specifically asked to look under the hood to see how complicated the bulb replacement would be due to past experience with a vehicle that required full disassembly of the front body of the car to replace. Chuck stated that he believed the only reason I was present for the windshield to which I let him know that the windshield was the absolute least part of any of my concerns. He did, however, know that it took me 3 weeks-- including no return calls from service-- just to get the windshield replaced. (Frankie left a message, and the receptionist-- female, name unknown) was notified twice. I had to call again a week later to finally get on the phone with Andres after holding for approximately 31 minutes). Chuck then started explaining how much money they lost on the purchase of the vehicle at which point I asked who the next person in line would be to have a meaningful conversation with. He stated he would let the GM know to which I responded, “How long until I hear from her?” since the last issue took multiple weeks? He refused to give an answer to which I continued, “so, 3 weeks again?” At this point, he shook his head and became visibly upset, checked his outlook and sipped his latte before replying, “You don’t need to be condescending.” I responded assuring him that I was not intending to offend him, but rather wanted a realistic timeframe. He diverted the conversation to stating what the goal was. I explained a vehicle with the major missing features (smart CC, and the LED lights) would be a start but that I believed that Tempe Kia would be unwilling. He agreed. I also stated that I would also be fine with removing my daughter’s car seat and walking away from the vehicle. He stated it could not be this simple. He again diverted stating that as long as the sticker matched a vehicle, anything stated by a salesperson was hearsay. He then stated, “I’m sorry that you thought you were getting something that was not included with this vehicle.” I responded, “So, are you now trying to be condescending claiming that I fabricated information given to me?” He stated no, that he was communicating that the sticker on the vehicle supersedes information given by the salesperson during the sale. I pressed again for time frame to which he suggested that unless the GM was out of town it normally wouldn’t take more than a day or two. He gave me his card and we shook hands. I let him know I had taken time from work which was now completely wasted; Chuck didn’t have much to offer in this regard. *Note: Never was there an offer to sit down to discuss the issues as was communicated via the text and email strings. Additionally, not even the radio was turned off (or even down) to have a discussion. Following the conversation I sent him a screenshot of the text message string that eluded to a reasonable conversation as follow-up-- Chuck denied knowing I would be at Kia for more than a windshield. This was hands down the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with any dealer. Follow up with Katelyn (GM) by email was very similar to the aforementioned. More
