Texas Autos Direct takes customer concerns seriously; however, several significant facts and circumstances regarding this transaction have been omitted or inaccurately characterized in this review. First, Rick Bayon was not the customer’s salesperson or primary point of contact during the purchase. Rick is the Store Manager and had no interaction with the customer during the sales transaction. His involvement began only after the sale, when the customer began making post-sale requests and Rick became involved in his management capacity. We believe that distinction is important given that this review specifically identifies him as the customer’s primary point of contact. The customer purchased a pre-owned 2016 Audi RS7 on August 5, 2026. Prior to completing the transaction, a pre-purchase inspection was recommended. The purchase documentation clearly reflects that the vehicle was sold AS-IS with no dealer warranty. Extended service contract options were also offered and declined by the customer. Following the purchase, the RS7 was driven from the Dallas area to Houston without a reported mechanical issue during that trip. Regarding the title, the title paperwork was processed within the applicable timeframe. This was an out-of-state transaction, and the customer did not pay Texas sales tax to Texas Autos Direct at the time of purchase. The customer signed an out-of-state tax exemption form reflecting that arrangement. The customer subsequently requested that Texas Autos Direct pay taxes associated with registering the vehicle despite those taxes not having been collected by the dealership as part of the transaction. Following the sale, Texas Autos Direct received numerous requests to assume expenses or responsibilities that were not part of the original transaction or supported by the signed purchase documents. Rick became involved at that point as Store Manager in an effort to address the customer’s concerns. Disagreeing with a customer’s requests does not mean those concerns were ignored, nor does it establish a lack of transparency or integrity. Regarding the mechanical concerns, a subsequent inspection by a service facility can produce recommendations for maintenance, preventative services, wear items, and repairs. The existence of those recommendations does not, by itself, establish that Texas Autos Direct knew of a particular condition at the time of sale or intentionally concealed it. This was an approximately 10-year-old, pre-owned, high-performance Audi RS7. The customer was encouraged to obtain a pre-purchase inspection, purchased the vehicle AS-IS with no dealer warranty, and declined the extended service contract options offered. We strongly disagree with any suggestion that Texas Autos Direct or Rick Bayon knowingly concealed mechanical problems or intentionally misrepresented this vehicle. We also disagree with the characterization of Rick’s role in the original transaction, as he was not involved in the vehicle’s sale. We respect the customer’s right to share his experience. We likewise believe prospective customers deserve the complete context and an accurate account of the transaction, particularly when serious allegations are made publicly about the integrity of our business and an individual employee. Texas Autos Direct stands behind its documentation concerning this transaction and remains willing to address legitimate, documented concerns professionally. — Texas Autos Direct

Texas Autos Direct takes these allegations seriously; however, this review omits several significant facts and inaccurately characterizes portions of the transaction. First, Rick Bayon was not the customer’s salesperson, did not participate in the purchase transaction, and was not the customer’s “primary point of contact” during the sale. Rick is the Store Manager and became involved only after the transaction when the customer escalated a series of post-sale demands. The customer purchased a pre-owned 2016 Audi RS7 on August 5, 2026. A pre-purchase inspection was recommended prior to purchase. The signed documentation clearly reflects that the vehicle was sold AS-IS with no dealer warranty. Extended service contract options were offered and declined by the customer. After taking possession, the customer drove the RS7 from the Dallas area to Houston without reporting a mechanical issue during that trip. The customer later had the vehicle inspected by a service facility and received recommendations for maintenance and repairs. A subsequent service inspection generating recommended maintenance or repairs does not, by itself, establish that those conditions were known to the selling dealer or concealed at the time of sale. This is particularly relevant with an approximately 10-year-old, pre-owned, high-performance vehicle. There is also important information missing from the review concerning the title and registration. This was an OUT-OF-STATE transaction. The customer intended to register the vehicle outside of Texas, did not pay Texas sales tax to Texas Autos Direct, and signed an out-of-state tax exemption form. Texas Autos Direct was not processing a Texas registration for this customer. The customer’s repeated characterization of the transaction as though the dealership was responsible for completing his Texas registration does not accurately reflect the structure of the transaction or the documents he signed. The customer subsequently made numerous demands that Texas Autos Direct assume expenses and responsibilities that were not part of the original transaction, including requests related to taxes that the dealership had not collected from him. Rick became involved only at this stage in his capacity as Store Manager. The dealership’s refusal to agree to every post-sale demand should not be characterized as a refusal to communicate or evidence of a lack of transparency or integrity. Texas Autos Direct also strongly disagrees with any implication that the dealership or Rick Bayon knowingly concealed mechanical problems or intentionally misrepresented this vehicle. Rick was not involved in the original sale. We respect every customer’s right to share an experience, including a negative one. We also believe prospective customers deserve the complete context when serious public allegations are made regarding our business and individual employees. The documented facts are straightforward: a pre-purchase inspection was recommended; the vehicle was purchased AS-IS with no dealer warranty; extended coverage was offered and declined; the customer drove the vehicle from Dallas to Houston after purchase without reporting a mechanical issue during that trip; this was documented as an out-of-state transaction; Texas sales tax was not collected by Texas Autos Direct; and Rick Bayon was not involved in the original sale. Texas Autos Direct stands behind the documentation associated with this transaction. — Texas Autos Direct
