I bought a car from this dealership about three months ago. Also bought a warranty and service package. Drive it about 2000 miles. First problem happened after two months when I brought my vehicle for ser ago. Also bought a warranty and service package. Drive it about 2000 miles. First problem happened after two months when I brought my vehicle for service and was almost sent back home- they called me to schedule service and when I came they said the car does not need service. In other words, they are more interested in selling a package than servicing the package. Despite them ‘servicing’ the vehicle, a week later I have several warnings about brakes being worn (after less than 2k miles of driving), no coolant in vehicle, no washer fluid, and a bunch of other warnings. And when I called them - they hide behind ‘we had the vehicle inspected before selling’ and ‘you did not ask us specifically to check every one of those things that are coming up’. I have never dealt with a more nauseating dealership in my entire life. My experience has been a nightmare. I would not buy anything from them again. More
**Everyone needs to steer completely clear of this dealership if you want actual trustworthy, solid good business. They could not care less about your safety. After driving over an hour to their deale dealership if you want actual trustworthy, solid good business. They could not care less about your safety. After driving over an hour to their dealership for a car, they let us drive off the lot with an unsafe vehicle that had extremely worn, old tires on it and did not tell us. I drove it home and noticed that when you get up to higher speeds on the highway, the car was shaking to the point of making me extremely nervous about driving it. We immediately drove it to our local Discount Tire who took the front tires off and were shocked that they sold it to us like they did. The middle of the tires were worn smooth, caving inwards in the middle, and separating. It could have popped one, if not both tires on the highway, and I could have been in a wreck. And after calling them to tell them the situation, it has been 3 days of being ignored by all of the managers, and only a salesman calling back to tell us they won't do anything about it. We have now spoken to two rude managers that said it isn't their problem anymore since we didn't drive the unsafe car an hour and a half back to them on the highway so they could "take a look" and that they will not help us or deal with our issue any longer. They are sleazy, rude, and utterly unprofessional. Every single time we tried to get ahold of the general manager, they say he is "busy" or not there. and that's after we had to be the ones consistently calling them. Do NOT buy cars from Toyota of Grapevine if you value your safety. They do not apparently do any safety inspections beforehand, they just check all the boxes stating that the car is "good". The "inspection" they said they did on our Nissan, they lied about. Said the tires were in good shape even though they were close to popping and completely worn. Zero care into the safety of the vehicle even though they tell you they do all these inspections since they tack on thousands of dollars on the price while discussing the deal for their "safety inspections and vehicle maintenance". They are dishonest, and at this point, dangerous if they let you drive off their lot with a car unsafe to drive. I wouldn't be surprised if many people are duped out of money when all they do is probably glance at the cars and fix nothing. Go anywhere else for a reliable car, or business where they actually care for the customer's safety in their vehicles. I can see from many other reviews that individuals have recently had problems with their vehicles and service as well More
The service department seems to be going from bad to worse. I went in for a 20,000 mile service. Had a 7:30 appointment. Waited at dealership. Two hours later, I checked on the status and the service ad worse. I went in for a 20,000 mile service. Had a 7:30 appointment. Waited at dealership. Two hours later, I checked on the status and the service advisor (Robert) informed me that the car was sitting ready for an hour since he did not have the time to inform me and get me from the waiting area!! He then informed me of a leak in the windshield wiper fluid container. He said he could get it fixed in an hour. After not hearing from him for 3 hours, I went to his desk to check on the status. He informed me that it is a warranty repair that needed parts to be ordered!! 3 hours later??? Truly unbelievable that Toyota Grapevine takes their customers time for granted!! This is not the first time I have had similar experiences with Toyota of Grapevine. I think this is the 3rd time where the car was sitting after work was completed as the service advisor was "too busy" to come and get me from the waiting area!! I spent 5 hours at the dealership this morning and they just dont care!! More
I was there for my 4 Runner oil change, tire rotate, alignment. I was told by the service guy name Robert that it will take 2 hours to do all the work that needed. I waited in the waiting room for more alignment. I was told by the service guy name Robert that it will take 2 hours to do all the work that needed. I waited in the waiting room for more than 3 and half hours during that period I did send message to Robert about the status of the vehicle. I did not hear back from him. It was already late for me to go back home. I went and talked to Robert about the status, and he said, I don’t see where your 4 runner is and went to find my 4 Runner. Robert came back after 5 minutes, and he said technician has not work on my car and he tried to hand out my key and asked me to come back next time. I wasn’t happy and waisted more than 4 hours for nothing. I asked him I need a loaner car as he mentioned he will give me a rental car. One of the technicians drove me to the place where Robert asked me to go but the technician and I didn’t find where to go to get rental car. I asked technician that I am already late, and my daughter is waiting for me, if he can take me to my house at Northlake. Technician was nice enough to take me home. I have been driving Toyota for more than 25 years and never had this bad experience. For sure, I am not going back there. More
Absolutely had the worst (after) car-buying experience with this particular location. Purchased a used 2016 Hyundai Elantra SE from Javier. Was a great walkthrough and initial drive. Was told it was not i with this particular location. Purchased a used 2016 Hyundai Elantra SE from Javier. Was a great walkthrough and initial drive. Was told it was not inspected for repairs yet but was assured that it was in great condition or it would not be in inventory so not to worry. I would only have to wait for a few days for the inspections in service there for anything that may be missed. 10 days later I receive the car, sun visor is not fixed (hangs down on driver side), and trunk does not close. Now the brake pads are showing horrible grinding with a noise to accompany it. Was told by Francisco (manager) and Javier that there is nothing they can do as I bought the car already. They "offered" a mere discount to fix the trunk not closing but that's still $500 on top of the $300 I had to spend to get the sun visor. Very shady how the inspection was not done before they let someone pay for it. Makes me feel like they knew it had issues and let me drive off. Service and sales here was my first time. I will NOT be going back. I can't believe nothing was offered or any sympathy at all was shown. Just the same answers and they can't see every issue but they NEVER opened the trunk? I find that hard to believe. Please be wary of the tactics used here. It was not my first car to buy so this was not a pure ignorance on my part. I needed a used car for a smaller price, not to have to repair essentials when I get it immediately. Horrible horrible horrible..... More
Went to Texas Toyota of Grapevine to purchase a 2023 GR86 Premium, I was very determined to buy a GR86 or secure one that day as well. When I walked in it’s a nice Delaership, people seemed friendly and imme Premium, I was very determined to buy a GR86 or secure one that day as well. When I walked in it’s a nice Delaership, people seemed friendly and immediately was introduced to a sales rep, Armando I believe, seemed like a super cool dude I asked to see a GR86 before is said what I was looking todo and he did show me a sold one waiting for pick up, I liked it and got to talking, explained what I wanted todo down payment etc and what I wanted to spend. He checked inventory and had one coming in mid July , wasn’t exactly what I wanted but it’d work. I asked numbers and about the warranty due to Toyota having the RTV oil in the oil pan. Armando came back with the numbers , they wanted $7,500 mark up ontop of a fully loaded 2023 GR86 Premium it had everything included which makes it about a $34,000 car MSRP, they were are like $42,500 or something which is ABSOLUTELY NUTS, asked if they would remove the $7,500 mark up which by that time he had I believe his name was Anthony the manager come over and talk about the warranty which neither had a clue to what the RTV in the oil pan fault was which is sad being a dealer and not being aware of issues with current models. Anthony was cool but him and Armando were trying really hard to push for the $7,500 mark up. I lost all respect the moment that came because I felt like they were firmly trying to take advantage of me wanting that specific model. Ontop of the mark up as well they wanted a $3,000 NONREFUNDABLE security deposit on the GR86 and it wouldn’t be arriving till mid July which at the time this happened woulda been about a 3.5week wait. Again I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me being serious with purchasing. I left not purchasing a GR86 from them, a week later I find EXACTLY what I want at a different Toyota dealer for MSRP no mark up no security deposit and the car was ready to go. I bought it and that dealer wasn’t pushy or anything like Toyota of grapevine was. I did stop in Toyota of grapevine to see what GR86 accessories they had in stock and was met with 3 sales man trying to interrupt and see what I wanted when I was talking to the front desk concierge which was gross on how thirsty they are for a customer , I was completely bombarded by salesman which in my opinion loses all my respect for a business. I won’t be returning ever regardless of what I need from Toyota I’ll drive the hour and ten minutes to the Toyota dealer I bought my GR86 from just because I know I can trust them and they respect me as a client. -best of luck to you Texas Toyota of Grapevine More
Salesman was very pushy, applying press to buy the car. I traveled from Austin to look at/purchase the car. Yes it was late when we arrive, but that's not any reason to rush a sale. I have always brought m I traveled from Austin to look at/purchase the car. Yes it was late when we arrive, but that's not any reason to rush a sale. I have always brought my most of my cars from a Toyota dealership, this one was the worst Toyota Dealership I've ever dealt with. The salesman seems like he did not want to answer my questions. Fail to follow through on promise as of 7/14/23. I was told I would get second key to the car, I have not received it. I was told that the previous owner would bring key in, I have not receive any follow up. They told me that I could come in for 2 years of free tire rotation and oil change, I live in Austin why would I travel to Grapevine for that. More
Steve Nafaa here is some more “love” for you. I told you this was coming you sleazy sham bag. STAY AWAY from TOYOTA of GRAPEVINE PRE-OWNED DEPARTMENT Steve Nafaa, the sales manager, is as sleazy I told you this was coming you sleazy sham bag. STAY AWAY from TOYOTA of GRAPEVINE PRE-OWNED DEPARTMENT Steve Nafaa, the sales manager, is as sleazy as they come. I emailed in the morning about a 2020 Rav4 I was interested in. He asked what he could do to get me in the door. I said I’m not paying any “added accessory fees” and that I had been approved for a loan but could finance through Toyota if they could match the rate my credit union gave me. He said he doesn’t add accessory fees and then sent the worksheet for the price on the internet, 300 dollar fee (dock fee, inspection, etc.) and sales tax. We schedule an appointment for later the same afternoon. This is when STEVE BRINGS OUT the SLEAZE and the SHAM. So I send the worksheet to my loan officer he said he needs a purchase order. I ask Steve to send that to me and/or directly to my loan agent. He keeps sending the worksheet so I call him and he says “we don’t take outside financing” TOTAL xx. Then his story changed to “we don’t take drafts from the bank, only money orders.” Steve it’s 2023 everyone takes drafts but you can try and inconvenience me all you want bc I’m ALWAYS going with the better rate. So I drive over there for the appointment and Steve sends his underling Adam over to “assist” me. Adam is asking me questions about what I like about the Rav4 and what I want my monthly payment to be, blah blah blah. I am not tied to the Rav4 in any way and I’m not telling you that info…lol. I’m already starting to get annoyed bc Steve and I worked out a deal over email. I just want to sign and go. I’m not going to sit at a dealership playing games. So Adam goes and gets the car it’s NOT the 2020 but the 2019. I say this is not the car (they were identical except the year). Adam says let me go check. He comes back and says it was sold to auction. REALLY 😡 Why the heck did I drive over here then??? Could have been an honest mistake but it was more like a BAIT and SWITCH tactic to get me in the door. I’m really ticked off at this point, Adam is being a smart xxx saying I never said the car was here with a smirk on his face. I was definitely not amused. No you didn’t Adam because I never talked to you before I walked in here. But SLEAZY STEVE definitely implied that by sending the worksheet over and scheduling an appointment with me to get the purchase order and buy the car. I walked out the door. Here are some lessons STEVE…#1 DON’T disrespect people’s time. I drove over there for no reason and stalling with your underlings when we already worked out a deal. I’m NOT dealing with that. #2 Inform the person that the car sold. It’s not a big deal. I would have come and looked at other cars and maybe bought something else BUT that is not going to happen when you try to “TRICK” me into a filthy 2019…there was so much dirt on the inside. #3 Don’t lie. I said I would finance through Toyota if the rate could be matched. I get it’s a business and you are trying to make money but out right lies don’t go over well with me. Best of luck Steve but I will NEVER set foot in Toyota of Grapevine again. There is no car that I have to have so badly that I am going to put up with that xx. P.S. Here is some advice for Adam (I don’t want him to feel left out)…Get that stupid smirk off your face and stop acting like a cocky little tool. A real life Spencer Pratt wannabe folks. Next thing you know Adam will be selling crystals and broke as a joke. More
