The Autobarn Volkswagen of Countryside

On 9 Aug 2011 we went to The VW Autobarn in Countryside to trade in our EOS for a Beetle Coupe. On 8 AUG 2011 we had gone to Subura Autobarn in Countryside and puchased a new car, our experience had been to trade in our EOS for a Beetle Coupe. On 8 AUG 2011 we had gone to Subura Autobarn in Countryside and puchased a new car, our experience had been so great we thought VW Autobarn of Countryside would be the same. We did indeed have a knowledgable and friend salesman in Matt Lichosyt. The upper staff was friendly and pleasant. The inventory was the best selection in the area and we were very happy to find a 2010 "Final Edition" Beetle Coupe with Pre Loved ( Pre Certified) standard. It was the choice suggested was awesome in helping us we were looking for. Jason the finance guy was knowledgable and helpful in his suggestion. In fact, the warranty he suggested was perfect because it helped to fortify we had made the right decision. Esp. because this was our first Used Car purchase. VW's Pre Certified or asthey say Pre Loved car concept is great because it shows the effort which the dealer goes to getting good used cars. With all the positives we experienced it is hard to bring in a disappointment with the dealership. The "guy" that our salesman went to for the negoation part. We did not meet nor get his name. He needs some re-training. The way he wrote numerous figures/caculations on the sheet with cross outs made it seem more like a shell game stunt than a professional deal. It did not reflect Matt's professionalism at all nor the prlfessionalism experience at the Autobarn Company. Matt we know it was not you but so other guy. Thank goodness Matt was our salesman. More

My overall experience was great. Pat Ellis was very informative and made me feel comfortable. I didn't feel pressured by him. In general he was a very nice sales person. As my lease was ending, and I happened to be in the ABarn anyhow, I simply inquired over a few general questions over a new lease- for a Jetta. After about ten minutes of a non-intrusive q and a session w anyhow, I simply inquired over a few general questions over a new lease- for a Jetta. She was absolutely perfect, and showed me the jetta i was thinking of leasing. I would say it was more of a conversation than anything resembling a sales experience.
