Bought a new 2022 TRD Off-Road 4 runner from Thompson. I have to say it was the best buying experience ever (and I have personally bought over five new 4 runners in my life time). Julian was my salesman and he was the best I can ever recall with regard to a buying experinece he always followed up to make sure I recieved top shelf sales . Here is where it all went wrong ; after owning my new 4 runner for less than a year I had a few big issues with it (which was very surprising since I never had an issue before with any of my 4 runners). So I take it into service for a braking noise issue. They tell me they can't find the problem and this is normal. After several attemps and after getting Toyota's corporate rep involved they finally located the problem and fixed it under warrentee. All of this back and forth could have been avoided if they just communcated with me better. For instance, I refused to pay a $300.00 diagostic fee for checking my brake module issue because no one ever explained to me that they charge for diagnostic work even when your truck in still under warrentee. Had they told me that I would have understood and been prepared to pay. The service writer never mentioned this charge would not be covered. It was not until the service manager got involved and Toyota corporate got invoved did i understand they don't cover diagostics. I still don't understand why they charge for trying to locate a problem on a new truck that is a legitimate problem but thats another issue for another time. I like everyone at this dealership and am a lifelong Toyota brand buyer but I am dissapointed now because when i return to service they treat me differenly and I can feel the tension in the air when i go in for service. This to me is sad result ; I am one of the easist going people. Because my new Truck had a few large "odd problems" ( hard to diagnose ) I feel like I am taking the brunt of this bad experience instead of someone at the dealership reviewing this and training people in service on how NOT to make this mistake again. Apologizing to me is all it would have taken. Instead the dealership (service is making me the bad guy) Not the way to treat a customer who has spent over $200,000 on new Toyota's. Here is the bottom line: Would I buy from them again ? YES , Would I service my new truck there? Probably not. They can do so much better with a little customer service training. The End. More
I went to the Thomson Toyota recently I had a really bad Experience with servicing my car in there I went for January 2023 for oil change then they found some problems in brakes they said i need a new brak Experience with servicing my car in there I went for January 2023 for oil change then they found some problems in brakes they said i need a new brake pads and Rotors need to be resurface and multi point free inspect every thing I paid everything together $850 dollars no coupons or no discounts applied i ask them is any discounts available they said nothing right now After two weeks i got another issue with when we driving the car its like driving to speed bumps or stopping the car in between certain speeds Again i went to the Thomson Toyota for the issue the service Advisor Lance Bacchus he was really rude and mean I asked him you guys did the service recently why this car issues he was very Unprofessional i had any Toyota dealer near me otherwise i go to another a dealer Every time i say something to him he said what i don't understand Nobody behave me on any other dealership before like this. so i never recommend this dealership for service for your car More

Best around I had a recall on my vehicle. I called Jones Toyota first, because I live in Bel Air. I got the run around, they wanted me to bring my vehicle in BEFO I had a recall on my vehicle. I got the run around, they wanted me to bring my vehicle in BEFORE doing the work for an inspection, and when I told them that I didn't have time to come twice, that I keep my vehicle maintained, I got no cooperation. So I called Thompson Toyota. Scheduled. Work done as proposed. No BS jargon about maintenance issues I knew I didn't have. Every person I met was courteous, they weren't running the shuttle so they use lift to get me back home. My vehicle was serviced and I am one very happy camper. After doing research I found that many of the Toyota vehicles have been involved in a class action suit and recalls about this problem. While 2000-2005 and 2007-2010 were covered for this issue my 2006 was not on the list to be covered. Approximately 5 years previously, surface rust was noticed and treated with rust prevention. Forward to present and Toyota or the dealer will cover the repair despite the fact that they covered thousands of vehicles with the same problem. My favorite car maker has left me disillusioned and stuck with a truck that I expected to have many more years but now is junk. More

He provided my daughter a loaner so she could get to work and informed us of Thompson's 20% discount because of the 200K+ miles on our 2007 RAV. These factors combined to make repairs a logical outcome for us. Craig also gave us diagnostics about what was wrong and the projected longevity of various parts so we could plan for the future. Giving us all our options, we were able to decide what worked for us. Thompson also kept to the timelines promised and returned a car that is cleaner than when they got it! More

When he had difficulty addressing one issue, he brought out the service tech Phil from the Gold team who went over the problem with me. It turned out I was not setting some of the controls correctly and this fixed my problem. Phill then took the time to review several of the electronics controls and helped me set up my SUV to my liking. Both men were very friendly and helpful. More
