Timmons Volkswagen of Long Beach has a deeply incompetent service department run by Luis Hernandez. I brought in my 2021 Tiguan for a minor oil leak and paid nearly $900, only to have warning lights come on service department run by Luis Hernandez. I brought in my 2021 Tiguan for a minor oil leak and paid nearly $900, only to have warning lights come on immediately after pickup—forcing me to tow it back the same day. They falsely claimed my car was in “perfect condition,” then tried to charge me another $700 for a new issue they somehow “missed.” When I refused, I was told my check engine light would “come on later,” which is absurd and felt like pressure to approve unnecessary work. They promise quality service and even a rental they don’t have—but deliver none of it. I got my car back in worse condition, with zero transparency or accountability. Get a second opinion—this place will cost you more than money. More

NEARLY KILLED! !!… ….Yet NO ACCOUNTABILITY taken by Timmons VW of Long Beach: 5/10/23 Oil change service provided by Timmons VW. 5/15/23 Oil light began blinking !!… ….Yet NO ACCOUNTABILITY taken by Timmons VW of Long Beach: 5/10/23 Oil change service provided by Timmons VW. 5/15/23 Oil light began blinking while driving on I-15 to Las Vegas. Moments later - dash lights galore as engine catches fire. Escaped burning vehicle with the few belongings I could grab before the car was incinerated by fire. 5/17/23 Upon returning home(after taking Greyhound bus to visit my ill mother) fresh pool of oil discovered under where the vehicle had been parked 5/10-5/15. 5/18/23 Fresh oil also discovered under where the vehicle had been parked at workplace on 5/15. Store Manager Mitch and Service Manager Luis(especially) not willing to admit they did not properly seal the oil system at time of service. After showing photos of incinerated vehicle and fresh oil pool, Mitch admitted, “That looks like oil.” They offered theories such as: maybe your arm was blocking the dash lights(insulting AND irrelevant at the same time) and the vehicle wouldn’t do that(well it already did). We were told “Probably” and “Most likely” they caused the fire but offered no compensation. They were then quick to remind us “We didn’t make you take the bus to work” referring to a temporary loaner vehicle. Two words gentlemen… GROSS NEGLIGENCE! We only asked for our 10 year-old VW Jetta to be replaced with a similar type vehicle. They made it clear that our vehicle(and potentially my life) was not worth a replacement 10 year-old vehicle, even with the backing of the $306,890,000,000(yes $306 billion) in 2023 revenue VW corporation. This is a particularly sad case as BOTH my wife AND I were once proud VW owners spending thousands of dollars at VW dealerships to ensure our VWs were well maintained through 10 years of ownership. I truly wish I could say 10 “PLUS” years of ownership but, because of GROSS NEGLIGENCE on the part of Timmons VW of Long Beach, we will be at the Toyota dealership across town(taking on a new car loan out of our own pockets). Two last words… TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY! More

these guys really care This dealer helped me greatly where another local dealer could not help at all. It was a warranty issue and another local dealer said the car was out This dealer helped me greatly where another local dealer could not help at all. It was a warranty issue and another local dealer said the car was out of the warranty period, when if fact it was not. The Long Beach dealer helped us get the car running again at no cost as in fact it was under warranty These people are as good as it gets, and they do care. The other dealer is only interested in a sale and then forget you. The long Beach agency has respect for there customers, the other dealer could care less. More
Timmons of Long Beach always meets my expectations. I am a long time customer, this is my third car from Timmons VW. I know that I am going to receive the best service from Miguel, the friendly staff and t a long time customer, this is my third car from Timmons VW. I know that I am going to receive the best service from Miguel, the friendly staff and the very qualified mechanics. In the past I have have also dealt with the parts department and the sales department and have been made to feel right at home. I have gone to other VW dealers but did not receive the level of knowledge and experience that I receive from Timmons. I always recommend Timmons to my friends due to the high quality and respect that I know I get at Timmons, it makes a huge difference to my that this dealership is family owned and that they treat all of the customers as part of that family. More
This is my 3rd Volkswagon Jetta via Timmons. I love the customer service. I recently went in for car service and was met at my car by a service worker. This is about VW service. I brought in my car for a airbag fault, after paying $1100. my airbag is still not fixed and they can't fix it. Everyday when I start my VW and the fault light goues on I have airbag fault, after paying $1100. my airbag is still not fixed and they can't fix it. Didn't buy my VW from them but let them service my car twice. The lady at Service department has horrible attitude toward customers. I simply asked for the maintenance schedule for my car and she replied impolitely: it's all on your manual. That was the first time i had my service. After that I gave them another chance because I thought that she must have a bad day. SO i went back the 2nd time for oil change: Same Shxt. I don't know how she can still keep this job in today's world with her service attitude. I bet she's a relative of the owner or something.
