Delivery was a joy with his review of the infotainment and safety features. He’s checked on my satisfaction several times. Sales management and finance departments were equally understanding of my needs and desire for limited add-ons once I declined. So glad we did business locally versus Daytona. More
Great experience selling my 2010 Mercedes-Benz ML 350 at Tom Gibbs Chevy in Palm Coast! Many reviews on consumer products Americans purchase are short and often involve negative complaints but my revi Tom Gibbs Chevy in Palm Coast! Many reviews on consumer products Americans purchase are short and often involve negative complaints but my review that follows is more detailed and the flip side of that record. I recently needed to downsize and sell my 2010 Mercedes-Benz ML 350 and got an online value estimate from Kelley Blue Book (KBB) where a number local car dealers immediately contacted me about buying my car since it had very low mileage and was in near Excellent condition. One of the dealers was Tom Gibbs Chevrolet in Palm Coast on SR 100 that had a good reputation for treating its customers respectfully and its Sales Manager Chris Taylor was one of the first to respond to my KBB estimate. At my appointment last Wednesday (April 22nd) with Chris and Sales Executive Raymond Marshall where they did a great job fairly evaluating my ML 350. Then I had the privilege of meeting the General Manager and dealership Owner Tom Gibbs and he took my car for a test drive and we reviewed the car's history and I found him to be a very likeable, intelligent, and physically fit executive and his family established their first car dealership in Florida in the mid-1950s. Please also note the, "physically fit," note for Tom above and just about everyone I met at the dealership was fit and in good shape which is unusual considering the poor state of health most Americans are in today which is very sad, especially from my perspective as a PhD medical-scientist for over 40 years where I have written 11 books about medical and health issues. The result of my interaction with Tom, Chris, and Raymond after they examined my market analysis for 2010 ML 350s, they accepted my valuation and I got the best offer to purchase my car that I received from other dealers. I was very happy with not only their offer, but the courteous and respectful way I was treated which reflected the many reviews I read before my appointment. So anyone interested in purchasing a new or previously owned certified car I would go and seriously check out Tom Gibbs Chevy for the great cars they have and their professional and courteous sales staff and executive leadership team led by Tom Gibbs. Final point, no one at Tom Gibbs Chevrolet asked me to write this review and when I called Tom later in the day after concluding our transaction, he was surprised but also pleased that I would take the time to document my very positive experience with him and his staff. The guy who changed my oil on April 3, left oil stains all over the steering wheel and the inside of driver side door of my C8 corvette. Really sloppy and unprofessional. all over the steering wheel and the inside of driver side door of my C8 corvette. Really sloppy and unprofessional. More

I have a great experience buying my car at Tom Gibbs Chevrolet. From the moment I walked in everyone was so friendly and not pushy at all. They made you feel so welcome. My sales associate Brandon, Chevrolet. From the moment I walked in everyone was so friendly and not pushy at all. They made you feel so welcome. My sales associate Brandon, took the time to answer all my questions and help me find exactly what I was looking for. This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. When I went into the finance office and met Bryant, he was also so friendly and welcoming, and took the time to go over every piece of paper that I was signing. I left that office feeling like I’ve known him forever. Thank you, Tom Gibbs for having such a wonderful staff and making your customers feel like family. More
Tom Gibbs Service Department has completely lost my trust and business. They did some warranty work and replaced my struts. For months after replacement, I had ongoing issues with my suspension system se and business. They did some warranty work and replaced my struts. For months after replacement, I had ongoing issues with my suspension system sensor going off. I was first told that this is normal and that I just had to "break them in." After months of the sensor going off and not being able to go over 65mph without my whole car shaking, Mike finally admitted that one of the front struts had been improperly installed and needed to be replaced. They handled the replacement. After this, I had more warranty work done to replace the brake calipers, rotors, and pads. For months afterwards, I was told that squeaky brakes are completely normal. Mike actually mentioned that there was a piece of metal in one of my brake pads that "just needed to wear down." I asked if this "wearing down" would cause improper wear on my rotors to which I was told "No." When getting my tires rotated at a different business, I noticed a prominent ring around my rotors. I took a picture and immediately sent it to Mike. He asked me to bring my vehicle in and had a tech restore and condition my pads and rotors. Following this appointment, my brakes continued to squeak. At this point I was told that it's completely normal for brakes to squeak and that there was nothing more they could do. I called the service manager to voice my frustration and shortly after our call, Mike called me to confront me about calling his boss. I was shocked and appalled at this disrespectful confrontation, as I had every right to voice my concerns after being gaslit for so long about my issues. Since then, Mike does his best to avoid me, and even looked at me once in line in front of him as he was searching for his next customer and said, "Nope." Following these events, my husband brought his vehicle in for an oil change. We purchased both of these vehicles from Tom Gibbs, and part of our purchase agreement is half-priced oil changes for the life of the vehicle. As he was checked in, the service writer advised him that he was coming too frequently for oil changes, and that they would not be able to honor his half-priced oil changes in the future. His vehicle is used for work, and his oil changes are justified based on the mileage. There is no mileage limitation in our purchase contract. I called our saleswoman and asked her to confirm that we were to receive this discount, and she did and also apologized for the behavior of the service writer. Coming to present, I brought my vehicle in to have the struts checked out, as I've begun hearing a squeaking sound when turning. Alex called me to advise that the issue was not in my struts, but in my brake pads and rotors needing to be replaced. I informed him that I would come by to pick up the vehicle, as I no longer trust their techs to replace my brake components. Alex charged me $200 for the diagnostic fee to release my vehicle, which is double the price of any other time I've paid for a diagnostic fee. I am so disgusted by the shoddy work, gaslighting, and poor customer service in this service department, it's hardly even worth visiting for our discounted oil changes anymore. I would never recommend Tom Gibbs Chevrolet to anyone, because they clearly have no respect for the customers once they leave the sales floor. More
