Don't sell your car to Tom Peacock Nissan. Why? Read on, my friends. By the way, I’m a young woman who was selling my car alone. At first, it was going swimmingly. I was working with Nathan, who was a my friends. By the way, I’m a young woman who was selling my car alone. At first, it was going swimmingly. I was working with Nathan, who was able to match my offer from another dealership when I let him know the situation. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and seemed sincere, so I felt comfortable agreeing to a deal with Nissan since it was so welcoming. We finalized a price, signed preliminary documents, and I was told I could pick up the check on Friday (this was Wednesday). Shame on me, I didn’t ask for any paper copies at the time. I did ask for emailed copies once I got home, and honestly I wonder if that spurred on what happened next. Thursday rolls along and I’m going about my day. I get a voicemail from Nathan, who urges me to call him back ASAP. Alright, they’re probably going to say some garbage and try to get me to take a little less for my car. NOPE. Nathan tells me that “all of my control arms are broken” and “the repair costs 3k, so my manager can only offer you 2k less” than we agreed upon. Wow, they really think they can pull the wool over my eyes, don’t they? Yeah no. I hadn’t noticed *any* symptoms of control arm damage, much less them both being broken. It’s laughable. Also, he said “all”? There are only two control arms. Lmfao. Even IF the arms were damaged or broken, I got a same day quote for a full repair for only $800, not the obscene 3k Nissan stated. So, as one does, I take my car to my mechanic for a professional second opinion. Guess what? *gasp* Nothing’s wrong! And I’m definitely not doing any business with Tom Peacock Nissan in the future. Honestly, I’m not sure how much of this was Nathan and how much was his manager. Either way, I am unspeakably disappointed with my experience and that Tom Peacock Nissan felt they could take advantage of me to swindle their way out of a fair deal. I wish I could say that I’m surprised, but it looks like the car dealership stereotype strikes again. Bottom line: I absolutely do NOT recommend Tom Peacock Nissan. More
