complete and utter incompetance! I have a new Subaru WRX. Rear Brake light LEDs burned out, and I wanted the part replaced. Its a warranty repair. I call Tom Wood Subaru service, and I have a new Subaru WRX. Rear Brake light LEDs burned out, and I wanted the part replaced. Its a warranty repair. I call Tom Wood Subaru service, and after a while Im talking to a person in the parts department, who helps me identify the needed part, and informs me that Ill need to make a service apt, then have service contact him to order the replacement part. I set up my appointment, and then just to make sure its understood, I follow up with service and talk to a service rep to make sure they understand what part I need, and that the service dept needs to contact parts dept to make sure the part gets ordered. "no problem" Im told "well handle this and see you on the service date". I bring in the car to get the part replaced, and after a 20 min wait Im told the part was not ordered. That's pretty frustrating considering the lengths I went to to make sure these people did their jobs. They never even called me to say the part was not there! So I call back later that day to reschedule a 2nd appt. I make sure that the person I talked to speaks to the service manager, just to be sure that the part is ordered. I come back two weeks later, and this time after an hours wait, Im told they don't have the part! Again, no phone call, just "oops we screwed up again". I GIVE UP! Im keeping the defective part on the car, and hoping all the LEDs don't burn out. I have bent over backwards to try to help these people perform their own jobs, but Tom Wood Subaru is by far the most incompetent group of do-nothings Ive ever had to deal with. If you want to buy a Subaru, or have your Subaru fixed, I have two suggestions for you: Dryer and Reinbold or Falcone Subaru. Anyone will be better than the Tom Wood group. More
complete and utter incompetance! I have a new Subaru WRX. Rear brake light LEDs had burned out and I wanted the brake light assy replaced. Its a warranty repair. I called Tom Wood I have a new Subaru WRX. Rear brake light LEDs had burned out and I wanted the brake light assy replaced. Its a warranty repair. I called Tom Wood service and after a while Im talking to the parts dept. The parts guy informs me that I will have to arrange a service appt, and then have service contact the parts dept to order the replacement part. Sounds easy right? So I set up an apt, and ask the service dept to contact parts to order a new brake light. "no problem' Im told, "well handle this and see you on your service date." I show up at the appt and after 20 minute wait Im told they don't have the part. They wont ship the part to me because its a warranty repair, so I have no choice but to come in again. I call back later that same day and re-schedule a 2nd appt. This time I ask the person who scheduled the apt to actually go talk to the service manager, so that the part can be ordered. "no problem" Im told, " well handle this and see you on your service date" I show up two weeks later and after an hours wait Im told they don't have the part. I GIVE UP! Ill just drive the car with the defective part, and hope the remaining LEDs don't burn out. I have bent over backwards trying to assist Tom Wood service in the most simple task, and they are so utterly incompetent, they are incapable of basic functions. If you are considering buying or servicing a Subaru in the Indianapolis area, I have two pieces of advice for you: Dreyer and Reinbold or Falcone. More

I have had an issue with my 2012 Subaru Forester windshield wipers since I purchased it. The driver's side wore out in a matter of month's. It left streaks in the line of sight. I tried a different windshield wipers since I purchased it. The driver's side wore out in a matter of month's. It left streaks in the line of sight. I tried a different set of wipers (after market) and they did the same thing. I took the vehicle to Tom Wood Subaru and they just replaced the wiper blades and said it was fixed. I unfortunately did not keep the old Subaru blades which were under warranty. They had to charge me for new blades. It cost $93 dollars for wiper blades! That is highway robbery! I wonder what the mark is and how much the dealership made off of this deal. I know that on average dealerships mark up parts 25% but this is ridiculous. I was told that the new wipers are under warranty till my 36,000 mile warranty is up. We'll see. I have a feeling that I will be getting a new set of refill's in a couple of months when the driver's side starts streaking again. I checked out some Subaru blogs and most rate Subaru OEM wiper blade's poorly. Part of this is my fault for getting rid of the OEM wipers. I don't think the service technician really did much. He used my windshield wiper fluid to test the old wipers and then sold me a new OVER PRICED pair of new OEM windshield wiper blades to resolve the issue maybe temporarily. It should be interesting if I have to go back to Tom Wood Subaru in a couple of months with the same problem. It should be interesting to see how they will handle the situation then. More
I called Mon AM to get car checked for trip. Schedule filling up but gave us time at 0745. In addition to oil change and multipoint check, evaluated steering wheel "wobble," rotated tires which fixed it filling up but gave us time at 0745. We recently purchased a 1998 Subaru and brought it in to Tom Wood Subaru for a full diagnostic check and repairs. Todd was extremely helpful in his recommendations and took the time to explain everything to Tom Wood Subaru for a full diagnostic check and repairs. Todd was extremely helpful in his recommendations and took the time to explain everything to me, as I'm not very mechanically savvy. We were provided with a complementary loaner car while our '98 was being serviced, and received updates via phone regarding the status of our vehicle. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Tom Wood Subaru and appreciate such wonderful service! More
They are friendly, but that's about it. The service manager is horrible, the techs and service advisers know very little about cars in general and have extremely shoddy troubleshooting methodologies. manager is horrible, the techs and service advisers know very little about cars in general and have extremely shoddy troubleshooting methodologies. I have an issue with an imbalance in the drivetrain, and they were stumped after 4 service appointments where they were STILL trying to rule out tires. Their customer service approach hinges on smiles and fake friendliness, but the service is just not there. More
