I have taken my vehicles (2) to Toyota Chula Vista multiple times over the past 4 years. They generally perform average. The problem with this place is the check-in process and the time it takes to multiple times over the past 4 years. They generally perform average. The problem with this place is the check-in process and the time it takes to accomplish this. Once such example is that you will schedule the first available appointment for the day at 0800. You can not just get there at 0730, the only way to drop your vehicle off there for that appointment and still be able to make it to work on time is if you are there at 0600 to ensure you are the first person in line waiting to be checked in. And even if you do that, likely, you will not be completely checked in and on your way until 30 minutes later. A second example is trying to get ahead of the problem by dropping the vehicle off the night before. This has worked out well for me twice before. Not a long wait time in the late afternoon, checked in for my appointment the next day, grab the uber home and now all I have to do is come back the following afternoon to pick up. Works well for me, it should work well for them since its one less car in the mini I-5 backup they create every morning in their parking lot to the service line. But now, the third time I go to do this is for a simple recall notice for an appointment that is the next day. Should be real simple, right? Nope, I have been brought an after-hours form to fill out for my appointment. Then I am just left there in the line. So I wait, but once I start seeing the service folks start helping the vehicles that arrived after me, I go inside and find someone. He proceeds to tell me that the reason I was given an after-hours form was that the service specialist I am scheduled with was off today, but she will be in here tomorrow. Are you kidding me? I called and scheduled an appointment for a vehicle that has been there many times; the reason for my appointment is in the system. Why can't one of the other service reps stop and take five minutes to check me properly and leave those items for the scheduled one the next day? I'm redoing work by hand that is already in the system, basically forgotten about, and waiting an exorbitant amount of time because a specific person is not there. Seems pretty ridiculous. I have never had experiences like this at any Toyota dealership, and I have been to many around the country. This service department needs to look at how they do business. Waiting 30 minutes or more to drop a vehicle off in 2025 is unacceptable. Especially, when someone is out there with an ipad collecting and confirming information before you even see the service specialist. I will no longer be going to the dealership for service. This is also to say I will not go here to purchase a vehicle. I had intended to drop the vehicle off and then text the sales associate at this dealership to give my vehicle a once over for trade-in value to purchase a vehicle there. That is not happening now. I am now driving both of my vehicles to a dealership twenty minutes away instead of 5 minutes away because this place is ridiculous. More

This was my first time getting serviced at this dealership and they made it very easy. I can't remember the lady's name but she was very helpful and very thoroughly explained everything upon reques dealership and they made it very easy.
