WOMEN BEWARE: LEMONS and CROOKS- I bought for my Mom a 1998 RAV4 with 77K miles. Then 6 months later, less than 1K miles, the belts squelled. The shop "adjusted" the belts for $75/hr and the car was clear 1998 RAV4 with 77K miles. Then 6 months later, less than 1K miles, the belts squelled. The shop "adjusted" the belts for $75/hr and the car was cleared of all possible problems as per their statement. When she drove away the car did not have proper power steering. Immediately after, the next possible check up they said it will cost $770.00 for a power steering assembly. THIS IS ALOT MORE THAN A COINCIDENCE!!!! More
