My father-in-law took in his 2017 Toyota Highlander for service two weeks ago. When I went to visit him, not realizing he had the oil changed already, I took in the car to get the oil changed at a Valvolin service two weeks ago. When I went to visit him, not realizing he had the oil changed already, I took in the car to get the oil changed at a Valvoline service shop. I saw the oil coming out, it was extremely dirty and black, and even though I realize that that usually is a sign of oil doing its cleaning job, it should not have looked like that after 200 miles. No way that oil had been changed! Yet my father-in-law was charged for it. I asked my father-in-law to see the receipt to verify this, and found out that he took in a coupon and was charged $44 and change. That would’ve been a great deal and a great service by the Toyota dealership if they actually did what they said they did. I am appalled! Not only did they not do their job, but they also took advantage of a loyal 87-year-old senior citizen that put his faith in this dealership. I am a motorcycle mechanic, understand how these things could happen accidentally (barely) but this sure doesn’t look like that. Not to mention the fact that you would never find this out based on the fact that no one ever changes their oil 200 miles after it has just been done, so the dealer might’ve gotten away with it multiple times before, without anyone noticing. Whoever the service manager is at this Toyota dealership, he or she should be taking a long hard look at the way they handle their business. Absolutely atrocious, be aware of malpractice!!!!! More

If you want a customer service focused experience in buying a car, Carter at Bellinghan Toyota is the sales person you want. He is so personable and knows the cars. Providing information in a manner dri buying a car, Carter at Bellinghan Toyota is the sales person you want. He is so personable and knows the cars. Providing information in a manner driven by the customer, not by sales is a gift and Carter is great. Travis in finance also has a presence that is not rushed yet goes through this challenge of making the purchase smooth and calm. I love my Highlander and the experience at Bellingham Toyota. More
