Used to be a great dealership - but not anymore. My wife and I have been taking her 2006 Scion xB to this dealership since 2007 for everything: maintenance, repairs, and even standard oil changes. Over the past couple of years we have noticed a decline in the attention to detail that justified paying the premium for “Toyota Certified” service. Repair recommendations were made without checking a the vehicle history to see what work was done within the past year, etc. This came to a head in August when the vehicle was brought in for a battery light coming on when the car started, and then disappearing after a couple of miles. When checked by the dealership’s service center, they deemed nothing wrong and sent it home with the light still turning on. Within a month, other systems started to fail confirming my “non-mechanic guess” that the alternator had gone bad. We were disillusioned with the service level at this point, BUT we still had Toyota complete the repair out of consistency. Within 24 hours, the new alternator they installed failed and her car died again. I had her car towed to the dealership and we were told it was a “faulty part” and they ordered ANOTHER alternator. When I asked to speak to management about the ordeal, the only person who was available was the Sales Manager. I explained that he probably wasn’t the person we needed to speak to, but he said “well, tell me anyway”. Upon conveying the issues, he was rude and claimed my wife was “already given a $250 discount” (which she was not) on the repair. We both left the dealership disheartened and disappointed. Afterwards, we contacted Toyota Customer Service and - after SIX WEEKS of conversation - we never heard from ANYONE from the dealership’s management. Not a soul could be bothered to follow up after almost ten years of loyalty to their business. Toyota of America has since taken actions to make amends and restore our faith in the brand itself, but any Toyota specific repairs will be done by a dealership outside of Vero Beach, Florida. If you plan on having your Toyota (or any vehicle) repaired, go anywhere that is not this dealership. More
Unhappy experience with service department We brought our Highlander back to Vero Toyota because a piece of molding had fallen off the door. At Stuart Toyota, they told us we would have to take it back to the dealer we got it from to have it replaced. Our 20k mile service was due, so we went back to Vero Beach, where we purchased the car. We were told this car came from Tampa and we would have to get the molding from them, even though we bought the car from the Vero Dealership, but they would see if they had it and follow up with us. No one ever followed up and at Stuart Toyota, they wash your car after they service it, but here, no courtesy wash was performed. We were very disappointed with this service department. More

Fine service! My Prius just got serviced for it's 40,000 mile check up. Everyone was professional. I only had to wait 30 minutes. I called Toyota of Vero Beach service about the warning lights that appeared and was reassured by the phone follow-up provided Kathy in the service department as I drove my car in for "emergency" service. Even though it was the day before a holiday weekend, and I did not have an appointment, I was made comfortable and kept informed. The car had to remain for service and parts, but I was provided a loaner to go home with. I was fully informed about the repairs and anticipated completion, by the service manager Carl. Completion was right on schedule and the car is running better than ever. Thank you for the outstanding customer service and repair. More

My tires are from Toyota and was told that I can go to any dealer and for FREE have a patch placed and that's it. Thought It would be pretty easy. I usually go to BEV SMITH TOYOTA IN FORT PIERCE BECAUSE THEY HAVE GREAT SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION(USED THEM LAST 2 YEARS), but could not ride on a flat tire and went to Toyota of Vero Beach. So I go in to service center and was told to wait. When I was finally met to explain the problem, I was told that they do not have time to call Toyota and find out all the information needed to help me. I said excuse me, do you need me to call BEV SMITH TOYOTA TO DO THE WORK FOR YOU. There answer was YES!!!. I said let me speak to your manager and the guy helping me said that he was the manager. So I ended up speaking to the manager of the store. I explained the situation to him and let him know that YOUR DEALERSHIP IS HORRIBLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PATHETIC, I WILL DRIVE THE EXTRA 30 MIN TO BEV SMITH TOYOTA FORT PIERCE FOR SERVICE AND WILL NEVER EVER USE YOUR DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. I SAID TO THE GUY WHY DON'T YOU JUST CLOSE AND LET SOMEONE ELSE TAKE THE SPOT YOUR ON.
