They said sticker was 10k but the price told over the phone with a discount was 7100 but then they got there and the price was 7700 but then suddenly there was an additional 2000 in fees. Seriously. 2000 in fees. are you kidding me. Fees for what? its a 8 year old used car. Just watch them and if they are playing games, walk out. Use a site like this, kbb.com, and get an actual idea of what a fair value is. Go in with that value and an idea of the price you want to pay OUT THE DOOR which should be close to that price plus tax and tags and that's it and don't let them play games with fake discounts and fees. A car dealer buys a used car either on trade or at an auction. They might pay a little for advertising and prep but that's their cost, they can eat it. You know they are not paying much for that car and have room for profit - anyone who trades in a car knows that. What other fees could there be - of course there are taxes and dmv but that's it. Don't get ripped off. More
