Difficulties with dealership getting reimbursed for tires Initially, I gave a good review on purchasing a used 2009 Toyota Camry for my god daughter, who lives in FL. This was my second stop, looking for a Initially, I gave a good review on purchasing a used 2009 Toyota Camry for my god daughter, who lives in FL. This was my second stop, looking for a car. It did feel high pressured though. They want to sell you a car, without you leaving to look elsewhere. I pointed out that the car I was looking at, needed two new tires in the front, and since there were no mats in the car, that new mats were also needed. The salesman said he would pay for them from his own pocket. When it came time to negotiate a price, the salesman mentioned additional expenses to be added, which I balked at. Then, his manager, spoke to me and tried to explain some additional charges, which I did not care about. The salesman took the car to the shop onsite and it was on a lift, the hood up, and boxes of parts by the car to prepare it for delivery. It was getting a full inspection. I was impressed. He delivered the car to my house and I remarked that the tires on the front look nice The car was later shipped to FL. and my god daughter's dad said the tires in the rear need to be replaced because they are badly worn. He bought two new tires for $343.00 in mid July, 2015. The salesman claimed that he did not know the tires were rotated, rather than replacing the front tires with new tires. He mentioned that he never said he would replace the front tires with new ones, only "newer" tires. To this date, over two months, a refund check for the tires have not been issued to us. I personally made two trips to inquire about the reimbursement from a few people that were taking care of it. The last person said the paperwork was sent to corporate and should take about two weeks. That was a month ago, and all the people that were taking care of it have done nothing to follow-up on it. We have heard NOTHING! Why can't the dealer cut a check? If the salesman said he was paying for it, why didn't the money go directly to us?. There was a damaged inside door panel which cannot be seen. My friend in FL. only noticed it when leaning against the inside door panel, when It gave. We showed it to the dealer, but they would fix it, for about $600.00. I think it would be the right thing to tell a customer what is wrong with the car, if it is something not noticeable. Would any reasonable person buy, or recommend the dealer, if after you bought a car, and found unseen damage? I know: Buyer beware. When I sold my used 1993 Lexus SC400 , I told the buyer everything that was wrong with the car. It is called honesty. Guess I will have to pay another visit soon to the dealer and find out why my friend in FL. still has not been reimbursed for the new tires he purchased. Lastly, be prepared to know what the car you are planning to buy is worth to avoid expenses that the dealer believes should be added on. Dealer may be justified though. Do your research. I did not. I learned that it was not a bad deal. The experience was. Jay P.S. When the salesperson asked me to write a review, he insisted that it has to be 5 star. He may have been entitled to it. So, be careful putting all your faith in reviews. take them with a grain of salt. More

I feel confident that Ali always answers my questions truthfully and always gives me time to decide without pushing for a decision. Also Ali will not steer you into anything that does not make financial sense. I wholeheartedly recommend if you are looking to buy or lease a Toyota that you visit Ali. I don't believe you will be disappointed. More

Good Experience Based on the Salesman. I went to Toyota Universe on 6/11/15 with the intent of purchasing a certified used car. I was accompanied by a family member who had more experience with the process. The receptionist was very nice. The dealearship provides water, coffee or popcorn if you heart desired it. However, what made the difference and will bring me back to this dealership was the salesman Mike Garcia. Mike was not the typical salesman. Most salesman tend not to try to truly understand where their clients were coming from. Mike was the total opposite, he took the time to know us and see what we wanted and tried to make it happen. He listened to all our demands and tried to find a common ground where as customers we did not feel as if we were being taken advantaged of. He obliged when we wanted to compare their pricing to other sources. And we were getting ready just forgo the whole process, he found a way to appease the various conflicts of interest in a professional manner. I would definitely recommend Toyota Universe to a friend or any customer. But like I said, if you are going there: Ask for Mike Garcia and tell him Georgia P. sent you. You'll be treated with the decency and respect that you deserve as a customer. He was a stand up salesman and and as customer, thats a key element to having a good experience that ends with the end result you were looking for. More
