I went to this dealership to lease a new RAV 4 Limited. The salesman was very nice and friendly, however he was not very knowledgeable about the car. I had done a lot of research on the vehicle so I knew some of the information he was giving me was incorrect or he was unsure of. I came to a lease deal with one of the managers and he gave me a photocopy of the numbers we agreed upon with the taxes and fees included. I told them I would be back the following morning to pick up the car and complete the paperwork. They made an appointment for me to come in and even called to confirm that appointment later that evening. When I arrived the next morning, I told the salesman I was going to put down more money then I had offered the night before; so I expected the monthly payment to go down a few dollars. When the salesman brought out the paperwork and the entire deal was different. The monthly payment price had gone up $30, even with the extra money I was putting down. They refused to honor the deal we had made the night before, despite the photocopy of the numbers I had. They then tried to tell me that taxes and fees were not included in the old price but I had specifically asked if they were and the manager had said yes. The salesman and my friend had witnessed him saying that. They would not have a manager come out and talk with me so I left the dealership. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. They have poor business practices and are extremely dishonest. More
Hesham Ali was so good to me and he went completely out of his way to assist me and make sure that I got just the car I wanted. He worked so hard and did not stop until he got me an approval and the car is of his way to assist me and make sure that I got just the car I wanted. He worked so hard and did not stop until he got me an approval and the car is absolutely beautiful. My best friend and her whole family has been coming to Ali for cars for several years now and she insisted that I meet him as soon as I told her I wanted to purchase a new car. I came all the way from Pennsylvania to Little Falls, NJ and it was worth every mile. I am so glad she sent me to him and I will always come to Ali from now on. I recommend Ali and Toyota Universe to anyone looking for a new or used car, you will get taken care of! More
Hesham Ali was very active in his presentation showing us many available pre owned Toyotas at what we considered affordable prices. He was upfront about the conditions of the vehicle and in fact declined t many available pre owned Toyotas at what we considered affordable prices. He was upfront about the conditions of the vehicle and in fact declined to even have us consider one Toyota which he knew had some body damage. We appreciated the honesty. We were at the right place at the right time and were able to purchase a 2011 Toyota Corolla LE which frankly looked in new car condition (no dirt on the engine, hinges or upholstery; tires in great condition). Ali let us test drive as long as we cared to and was flexible in the negotiation of the price so it would fit our budget. I recommend Ali and Toyota Universe to anyone looking for a new or used car. An awful experience. My family and I are loyal customers having bought 5 previous cars from there. I first went about a month ago to test drive. I told them from the start I was just test driving with the intention to buy after the winter storms were over. Were very slow in everything they did. One person told me that lease prices were non-negotiable and another said we could negotiate when I came back. Received a phone call and text every single day for the next month. Made an appointment to come back to lease and asked if they had the car I was looking for. I was told directly, "We would not bring you in if we did not have the car." Went for my appointment, waited for a half hour and they did not have the car I wanted in any of the three colors I requested. The salesmen and the finance guy both tried to sell me a different car. People do not deserved to be lied to and jerked around like I was there. I left and went straight to Caldwell Toyota where they were excellent. I will never go back to Toyota Universe again. More

The reception and sales staff were so a EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE!!! From the moment I entered the showroom I knew this was the place I'd buy my Camry! The reception and sales staff were so accommodating and friendly, it took the edge off my car-buying experience. I was not bombarded with salesmen trying to get to me and "seal the deal", I was allowed to take my time (which is great considering a new vehicle is a major decision that should not be rushed!), look at the vehicles, and approach the sales rep when I was ready. The whole process was smooth as silk, no bullying or pushing - they showed respect for my time, my opinions and my financial constraints. They helped me sort through the different vehicles and finance options to determine the best course of action for me and I could not be happier with my new car! I will return for service and report on that as well! If it comes close to my sales experience, I will be a life long customer! More

I'm writing this review because the salesperson I worked with was patient and helped me study a few different options and answered all of my questions without being too pushy which really surprised m worked with was patient and helped me study a few different options and answered all of my questions without being too pushy which really surprised me. I recently went down to Toyota Universe to do some research and spoke to Berkeley who said she is one of the newer employees. She still was able to help answer all of my questions and seems to be very knowledgeable of the cars. I'm waiting until I get my tax refund before I seriously make a consideration. Even though I wasn't going to buy the car right away, Berkeley still showed me several models and didn't pressure me into buying anything. I can't stand when the salespeople act like a broken record and don't listen. This is a lot of money i'm spending! I'm not just going to open my wallet right away! Anyway, I think Berkeley deserves to get the sale for her effort, so when I go back, I'll ask for her. Great service! I'll update this after I get my refund and make my decision. More
