Brought my Toyota in for an oil change after making an appointment the day before. Only positive thing was check in was relatively fast. I stated when I made the appointment I would be waiting. There was no expectation set that my wait would be 3 hours!! Long story short, my consultant didn’t communicate with me throughout my wait, so at the 2 1/2 hour make I texted him to ask where we were at in the process. No Response. Finally a half hour after that I had to get another employee to help me track him down. He rushed me to his office and stated “there’s a lot going on with your car, they just put in the notes”. Then said “oh you just texted me”, to which I responded “actually that was a half hour ago”. Then he started saying how nice my car was and how I got a deal on it although I never told him how much I bought it for. Bottom line is after sitting in the dealership for 3 hours my takeaways are this; -Communication needs to improve here. It’s ridiculous to spring on a customer at check in that their oil change will take 3 hours, especially when the consultant can see that you’re going to be waiting. Your competition is doing oil changes in 30 minutes. -Not one employee smiled and said “hi” or “good morning “ to any customer -Have a working xxx system to speed along checkout. More
I had one of the worst dealership service experiences I’ve ever encountered. When I went in simply asking for an oil change, the service advisor tried to upsell me over $800 worth of unnecessary servi I’ve ever encountered. When I went in simply asking for an oil change, the service advisor tried to upsell me over $800 worth of unnecessary services. My car has just under 70k miles, and I had already completed a major service around 65k miles—including brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and more. Despite this, the advisor pushed me to repeat the exact same services I had already done, insisting that my fluids “looked bad.” It was clear he was more interested in padding the bill than providing honest service. When I declined the unnecessary add-ons, his attitude completely changed. He became dismissive, rushed me out, and didn’t even bother to provide paperwork for the service estimates. That level of unprofessionalism alone was disappointing—but it got worse. When I returned later to pick up my car (after being told it was ready), my service advisor blatantly ignored me for 45 minutes. I stood there while he helped other customers, refusing to acknowledge me. I even asked two other advisors if they could check me out, but both brushed me off and told me to “just wait.” I was left stranded until I finally lost patience and had to demand help from the floor manager. This was an absolutely horrible experience from start to finish. The dishonesty, the upselling, the rude behavior, and the complete lack of customer care are unacceptable. I will never bring my car back here, and I strongly urge others to think twice before doing business with this dealership. More
