Chris; I'm 74 and have come into the dealership periodically, probably since the dealership opened. I did own a Tundra we just sold to my grandson. Before that I would visit the accessory department but as I remember it nothing much was there, a display of floor mats, cups, a rack of keys, are things I remember. For the Tundra I bought a bed liner, a floor mat, new trailer mirrors, an air suspension system, a new android radio, step rails, a brake controller, and other things from other vendors and on line. I bought nothing from your dealership. I remember visiting and people behind a counter too busy to answer questions, or not able to provide answers. About what I now forget. During this purchase I did email questions about the possibility of buying a camper shell through Toyota so that we could include that purchase in our financing. I didn’t expect a helpful answer, but I didn’t receive an answer at all, and I sent an inquiry I think, a couple of times. That is curious to me. Email is my primary way to communicate now. I kind of have finally accepted that using the phone is no longer a way to communicate with a business. You wait on hold or the person you need to talk to is not available was my experience. If I need an answer to a question I get in the car and go to the business. This is now the culture we live in. The few of my email questions were never answered because the sales person didn’t know the answer. How wide is the bed of the truck so I can shop for a camper shell? That was never answered and the other question was related to the roof rack which I saw on other trucks and liked. The sales person didn’t know the answer, not did the people in the service department. The Madera dealership did know and has it available at a lower cost than finally presented at Clovis. That is why I said the people working there don’t know their product. From the accessory department you would think a sales person would say, hey! go see our accessory department. We can be competitive if you plan to buy common accessories and maybe we can help you out! But I didn't work in your industry and just don't get it. Anyway, we are happy and I am especially happy my wife is happy with the Tacoma which I've thought for a long time is the best truck on the market. My Tundra was a hotrod and my grandson loves it. We eventually would like at least a hybrid. I can't afford an electric vehicle which was our first choice and I did drive one in Selma. The Tecoma was the second choice influenced by my experience riding with my cousin in the desert on many trips. I am really glad that it is white but mostly with the six foot bed. It's good to have a useful bed. We haven't figured out the many modern electronic additions yet. Thank you for your response and if you have further questions I'm happy to respond.
