Since my husband's car was recently totaled in a flood I'm only giving Toyota of Dallas a one star rating because there was no option for zero stars. Since my husband's car was recently totaled in a flood in Houston, we drove to Dallas today to buy a car from Tauren.Tauren has eagerly and persistently called us over the past few days after approving my husband, who has excellent credit by the way, for the car that he wanted. We spoke with Tauryn before we left Houston and a couple times while on the way to the dealership. Once we arrived, we shook hands with Tauren (no eye contact) and were asked to wait at his desk. Well we waited about 45 minutes only to hear, not from Tauren himself, but from another salesperson that the car was sold this morning. Now, aside from the fact that this indicates that there is no effective communication at this dealership, neither between colleagues nor between salesperson and customer, there was also no attempt to make the situation better or to show other options. We understand that things happen, but it just seems like any smart car salesman would make every attempt to at least still make a sale when money is on the table with no strings attached. Bottom line, poor service here. More

They offered me a loaner car while they worked on my vehicle 4. The finance process was a breeze and they worked hard to get me a great rate. 5. The GM made sure that my purchase was a pleasurable one. 6. I'm not the easiest sell on earth and they endured me and made me feel like I would be back soon. 7. Brent the used car manager was attentive and responsive to all my needs as we were scheduled to go out vacation. He upgraded my loaner car for free!!! Do not buy from Toyota of Dallas! I called to ask for a very specific car, Toyota Highlander used 2010 for $18,000 or less. The person I spoke with, Richard is a used car salesperson, I called to ask for a very specific car, Toyota Highlander used 2010 for $18,000 or less. The person I spoke with, Richard is a used car salesperson, and he said he had two SUVs in stock. When I asked about the carfax, he said both of this cars were clean and they were one owner. I asked twice about the clean carfax and he assured me the cars were clean and was very eager to get me to come into Toyota. When I arrived, Richard told me they had sold one of the SUVs (in less than 15 minutes after my phone call) and the other car they had would be available for financing because it had FRAME damage!! I told him what a waste of time he and his personnel were. I was traveling with my wife and my 7 month old child, that is the reason why I called first to make sure they had what I was looking for. This Toyota is a circus. Do not go in here. You will end up loosing. More

I was at the Toyota of Dallas with my family (my wife and 2 kids – 2yr old and a 7yr old) for an Oil Change for my Corolla at around 8:30AM on Sep 5th 2015. While we were waiting we decided to check out Toyota kids – 2yr old and a 7yr old) for an Oil Change for my Corolla at around 8:30AM on Sep 5th 2015. While we were waiting we decided to check out Toyota Highlander and a 2014 Mazda CX-9 as we were in the market for a 7 seater SUV. Abul, the sales guy, showed us the both vehicles and we enjoyed the CX-9 test drive. Finally we ended up buying CX-9. But the way that we were swindled into the deal was a horrid experience. Here is how it goes. Abdul shows us a price tag after haggling around with him and comparing online prices was $24XXX that includes dealer fees and TTL. We were already an hour and a half into this. So it was 10AM. At this time Abdul says he will get the car washed. We accepted to put in a $5k down and then rest goes into Financing with an APR of 8.9%. Monthly amount came at $358.xx Looks great and straight forward, right? Not really, now we were introduced to Chris Green, the Finance Manager. This guy attempts to shows up three different Maintenance plans – Gold, Silver and Platinum. As one might expect every plan had pyramid structure of maintenance. We explained clearly to Chris Green that we DO NOT need a maintenance plan simply because we had 4000+ miles left on Manufacturer’s Warranty. Besides that we had lesser miles on the miles on the vehicle and on top of the CX-9 had just one year of life (2014 model) on it. Car fax was excellent as well! With us categorically rejecting the maintenance plans, now he starts to pitch for Zaktek protection (a protective coating). Again we say this dollar amount is $358.XX high enough along with our Mortgage payments he gets into SWINDLING plan. He steps out of the office for a couple of minutes. Now the important thing is the time. When this was happening it was 12:30PM. None of us including our kids had breakfast and no other snacks. He comes back and says he is able to get the Zaktek protection for a year for the same $358.XX monthly payment. We believed he was able to do it without any addition to the original $24XXX amount. Again he didn’t explain how he did that. A week later I was able to contact the lender and learnt that he swindled us into the plan by reducing the interest to 4.9% and adding $2200+ in addition to $24XXX. Also he did put us in the maintenance plan too, which we EXPLICITLY said we DO NOT want it. With all the trust I had on Toyota’s prior experiences (over the past 8 years I have had 3 corollas and still own a corolla) I signed the dotted lines without actually reading the price break up. Please folks, understand we are struggling hard with 2 hungry little kids. Got out of Chris Green’s office and pleaded to the sales person that we come back later to get the keys as the kids were hungry The sales person tried to make us wait even longer but finally got off the dealership saying that I would come in that evening to collect. That evening when I went back to the dealership that SUV wasn’t properly washed. Clearly could see the mud traces at the bottom portion of the driver’s side doors (front and back). When asked, Abdul says he could get it done any other time we wanted. Forget it; I’m not coming back to Toyota of Dallas. After two weeks of haggling Toyota agreed to cancel and apply the $1100+ maintenance plan to the loan. But they refused to cancel Zaktek. So I lost over, sorry tricked for $1100+ Zaktek plan. Sorry Toyota, you just lost a loyal customer. More

liar liar I was taking out a loan against my 401-K to purchase a vehicle, was planning on paying cash so Jeff said I could just write a personal check to place I was taking out a loan against my 401-K to purchase a vehicle, was planning on paying cash so Jeff said I could just write a personal check to place a hold on a car I wanted and once my loan came thru then I would call Toyota/dallas and they would deposit that check, he assured me that until they heard from me they wouldn't deposit my check. Well 3 days later I ran into some problems so I called Jeff and told him I was withdrawing my hold on that car and would contact him when I was able to resume with my purchase, and over the next weekend they went ahead and deposited my check! I called Jeff, he said he didn't know what happened but would take care of it, I never heard back from him, sent an email to Toyota/dallas never heard back, he wouldn't return my calls. Luckily I saved my text messages from Jeff and showed them to my bank (chase) and they cxl that check and the fees. More

These people can't be trusted. Do not purchase from ToD I would encourage you to look elsewhere if you're shopping for a Toyota in DFW. These people cannot be trusted to follow through on their promises. My wife and I purchased a Highlander from ToD back in the beginning of the year. On our test drive, we discovered a quirk with the remote start system, where the vehicle would shut off when you open any door on the vehicle. Obviously, this is a big problem, since the whole point of having a remote start function is to prepare the vehicle to be comfortable when you get it to drive it. Jessica, the salesperson told us on the test drive, "Oh, we can fix that in the service department. Don't worry about that." So, we accepted her explanation, and went on to purchase the vehicle, largely because we liked having the remote start, and two other Highlanders we were looking at at another Toyota dealership didn't have that option. After purchasing the vehicle, we took it to the service department to get them to fix the remote start to work as we were promised. We were then told that it wasn't possible, that the service technician didn't know how to fix it. We were busy and needed to collect the vehicle, so we took it back without having it fixed. After lots of research, and two more visits to the dealership that were also unsuccessful, it became clear that Jessica was wrong, and that the service department wasn't able to fix the remote start as we were promised. This is when things started to get ugly. We asked the parts department to give us the functionality we were promised by Jessica (A function that was a big part of why we bought the vehicle) and we were told that ToD wasn't going to help us at all. That if we wanted the remote start, we'd have to pay for an aftermarket part and installation that was several hundred dollars. When I explained that their answer wasn't acceptable, two different people on the phone got abusive and accused us of lying. What a horrible experience. Toyota of Dallas can't be trusted to fulfill the promises of the sales staff. They had the nerve to me that if I didn't have something in writing, that they weren't going to help us. So, I guess the words of their people don't mean anything. You can't trust anyone at Toyota of Dallas. We will be contacting Toyota's corporate customer satisfaction team, as well as leave this same warning on as many sites as we can find. Shame on Toyota of Dallas for treating good clients like us so poorly. I've never been so frustrated by a car dealership in my life. They have cost themselves all of our future business and our referrals, all so they can save a couple hundred bucks on a remote start system. Shame on them. More
