pathetic service department while my wife had her new Highlander in for service someone damaged the rear fender, and tried to hide it with touch up paint. The damaged area required body repair which they paid for. Several months ago while they where doing an oil change on my Tundra, someone caused damage to my truck in 4 places. Likely the paint was scraped off my the hoist. When I brought it back they touched it up with touch up paint, which looked worse. I recently had my oil changed by a mechanic and when he removed the oil drain plug, he found metal shards, and that the oil pan hole had been stripped. I will never take my truck, nor my wifes new 4Runner to that dealership for any reason. (My wife's new 4Runner was not purchased at Toyota of GR.) More

Three weeks later and five return trips to the dealership, Toyota of Grand Rapids unwound the deal and bought the vehicle back. The quality of people that I dealt with and the service provided was first class in every respect. We had a difficult situation on our hands. Many dealers would have simply said that I took a risk in buying a used car, not attempted to repair the vehicle and not bought it back. The fact that they put their customer first, even when it was a loss to the dealership, speaks loudly about their commitment to customer satisfaction.
