Thanks to Wally Goodrick, I had an unexpectedly pleasant and smooth experience at Toyota of Hollywood! I knew exactly what I wanted and Wally definitely went out of his way to get it for me. Beginning to end, I found him highly knowledgeable, yet quick to say when he didn't know something and would need to check, which I greatly appreciate. He had a wonderful personality and was fun to work through the process with. Wally was understanding and patient: never once did he seem put out by having to answer a question he probably has to answer fifty times a day. I felt like I was being helped by that really nice neighbor that chats with and watches out for everyone rather than some arrogant, pushy sales person every buyer fears finding on the car lot. I was impressed with the specific questions he asked about my preferences and the way he not only listened, but then actually tailored everything to fit my needs. I've dealt with others in the past who barely listen and just try to sell me what they think I need or what they need to sell. I don't have any problem walking off a car lot and I've done it plenty of times until I met Wally. Of course, there are always extra options the dealership wants you to buy but Wally never pressured me. He just gave me the information, answered my questions, gave me the time to research it on my own, and accepted my decision. Beyond that, he referred back to my earlier answers regarding my driving usage and quite honestly advised me not to consider adding on certain more expensive options that wouldn't fit my situation. (Particularly one that could've very easily been slipped in without my understanding but he pointed it out and admitted that on a purely ethical basis, he couldn't suggest in good feeling that I purchase it.) Overall, Wally's simply a nice guy who was knowledgeable and professional and truly went out of his way to provide what I asked for: including spending a whole day driving in horrid traffic to go get my car and bring it to me (LA to San Diego to LA) and then stayed at the dealership hours longer than he had to just to finish my deal and on top of that, teach me how to use my Prius' functions. Anyone observing him wouldn't have realized he was going on an eleven hour day as he showed me how to connect my phone, garage door opener, and all those other things that must have been at the bottom of his list of how he wanted to spend a Saturday night! This was definitely not the experience I feared I would have going in to buy a new car and am shocked that I don't have even a minor complaint about my experience: I'm attributing that to Wally Goodrick. More
