Their idea of making it right was giving me running boards and covering a transmission and differential service. I was asked to take my original post down, but my experience with this dealership has continued to be disappointing, especially when it comes to diagnosing complex mechanical issues. Now my truck has an intermittent engine rattle during acceleration. There are no warning lights, and they can't even identify what's causing the noise. Instead, they're recommending a complete engine rebuild for $13,800. Before any assistance from Toyota, I was quoted around $11,000. Somehow, with Toyota's "help," my out-of-pocket cost is actually higher. I don't understand the math, and I don't understand how you can recommend replacing an engine when you can't clearly identify the failed component. Customers deserve accurate diagnostics, transparency, and accountability—not expensive guesses. More
I contacted Toyota of Huntington Beach about a specific 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Before driving over, I checked the CARFAX and noticed that the truck had been listed for sale on July 17, offered as 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road. Before driving over, I checked the CARFAX and noticed that the truck had been listed for sale on July 17, offered as Toyota Gold Certified on July 21, and then showed a new owner reported, title updated, and a loan or lien reported on July 24. Because of that, I specifically asked the salesperson to physically verify that the truck was actually on the lot and available. I asked by phone, then confirmed again by text because I did not want to waste a trip. My text asked him to put eyes on the truck and make sure it was not under contract, did not have a deposit, and did not have another deal in progress. He replied, “Yes sir, it’s available!” I arrived about an hour later, and the truck was not there. Instead, I was taken to a secondary lot and shown other vehicles I had already made clear I was not interested in. No one from the sales team gave me a real apology for the false confirmation or for wasting my time. This was not a simple inventory mix-up. I questioned the availability precisely because the CARFAX already indicated the truck had sold, and I was assured twice that it was physically there and available. Even more concerning, the same truck is still being advertised online as available, despite the CARFAX showing a new owner and despite the vehicle not being there when I arrived. Either the salesperson never checked, or I was told it was available simply to get me into the dealership. Either way, this felt like a bait-and-switch experience. I have screenshots of the CARFAX, the text confirmation, and the continuing live listing. More

This review is a 5 stars because of John Burrill. Best car salesman I have had to deal with. If you go to Toyota of Huntington Beach you should ask for him. He cares and can be trusted. They Scammed me. Luis said I needed a coolant Inverter service and being concerned about my car I said, yes. However, he sold me a service that I didn't need. This se Luis said I needed a coolant Inverter service and being concerned about my car I said, yes. However, he sold me a service that I didn't need. This service is supposed to be done either in 15 years or a 150,000 miles. My car is 10 years old and has 100,000 miles. Too bad for me that I thought he was honest. When I confronted him he said it needs to be done because I've had it for 10 years. However, the manual says it needs to be done after 15 years. What a filthy thing to do to a woman that barely makes enough money to get by. I'm contacting every one I can. How many times have I been lied to there. It makes me sick. sick. sick! More
