Toyota of Orange let me know that they had a particular vehicle coming in in June 2024, but that I couldn't precontract for it until 6/1. Their sales manager gave me a call on 5/21 to let me know they had vehicle coming in in June 2024, but that I couldn't precontract for it until 6/1. Their sales manager gave me a call on 5/21 to let me know they had made a note that I would be coming in to precontract for the vehicle on 6/1, and that I would have to come in to do that. After I expressed worry that the car would be precontracted to someone else, I was assured that they wouldn't precontract it to another person because they couldn't until 6/1 and the sales manager had made a note. I called on 5/30 to set up a time to complete that precontracting on 6/1 only to hear that the General Manager had precontracted the vehicle to someone else. I know there's nothing unlawful here and that they won't care because they sold the car either way, but I wanted to express my disappointment regarding how I was treated. More
