The most horrible car dealer I have ever known of Bought a 2020 Corolla before last year's Christmas. The only reason that I chose this dealer because they advertise with an instant rebate of $1,500, and an additional graduate student rebate $500 also applies to me. But it was definitely and absolutely a pitfall! After the saleswoman showed me the car, we sat down and talked about the financial plan. The amount of rebate became only $1,000. The reason they gave me was that if I choose to do the $1,500 rebate, the interest will go up from 1.9% to 4.9% something. I did not think of it carefully, which was my mistake. I agreed on that plan and decided to put down $3,000 for the down payment. Finally, I sat down in front of the financial lady to sign the contract. One thing that caught my eyes was the down payment became $3,500 somehow. I just assumed the extra $500 is my graduate rebate. My second mistake. But they did only charge me $3,000 on the credit card, therefore I thought I was right. After that, everything is easy. I just signed my names for all the paperwork. During the name-signing, the financial lady lured me into buying some protections for the car and suggested me to pay $3,500 for the down payment so that I can have the tire protection while the monthly payment still remains lower than $300. All I try to say is, she was definitely aware of my down payment is $3,000. 10 days later, after the new years, they called me and accused me of owing them $500 !!! It was the same financial lady calling. She pushed me to pay for her $500 immediately. I tried to tell her I will look into the contract and get back to her. But she just rudely attacked me saying "you don't even have 10 seconds to tell me your credit card number, do you try not to pay us???". My head was blown away by this out-of-blue accusation. I told her calmly that I will retake a look at the contract and call her back. After examining the contract, I finally realized I only have a $1,000 rebating amount, and somehow they accidentally enter the wrong amount of down payment. Once I found out the rebating amount was just $1,000. I calculated the loan again, and found out I only pay about 10 bucks less over 7 years! But now I lost $1,000 rebate or $1,000 cash!! Since they made a mistake, I asked them how about we cancel the previous contract and create a new one. This time, I think they sensed my intention and told me the Toyota Financial Services wouldn't allow them to do it. But I called the Toyota Financial Serverice three times and they clarify: they have nothing to do with the contract between the buyers and the dealers; they are just in charge of filing the contract so the buyers can pay their bills; they are utterly fine with receiving a new contract. Here comes the most astonishing apart. Nevertheless, I have told them so many times in both texts and emails that I am not refusing to pay, but I want to change the contract on which you made a mistake. Their sales manager, Melissa Miller, threatened me that if I don't pay that outstanding $500 bucks now, they will detain my license plate! Is the Toyota of Seattle a gangsterdom or what? I can totally smell the crime in their store. The Toyota of Seattle won't admit they made a mistake on the contract(at least the financial lady), also lied through their mistake of establishing a new contract, and use my license plate to leverage in the contract negotiations. If I can, I even try to give them an 0 star. More

The first three times I took my car for service it was great and I had shuttle service. Then the fourth time I got Uber. I now am told I am outside their shuttle area (2.6 miles according to them). I never moved. The guy this last time told me their shuttle service has been the same for the last 10 years and I am outside of the service area but they go to Northgate. We also had a conversation where I wanted the a re-set for service from 5000 miles to 10,000 since I was coming for service every 3 months. The previous time I was told they would change it this time. When I requested it this time I was told they can't do it but I could turn it off. He could tell me how but thought I wouldn't be able to follow what he said and should just read the manual. I found that very insulting. Now when I call the manager we are told the sales person is the salt of the earth and I am out of line. I was insulted, lied to and demeaned. Not once did I feel like he wanted to give me any customer service and basically told me to find a new dealership to get service. More

Trevor, my service advisor was an immense help in immediately identifying the issue and providing a plan to solve it in an efficient manner without taking an arm and a leg in costs to do so! I was set up with a rental car for the day at base cost so I still get about my day without waiting around and give the technicians ample time to resolve the issue. Trevor's knowledge, candor, and kindness made for an exceptional customer experience. I'll certainly be returning for any future maintenance knowing it's in great hands. More

My salesperson Mr. Kel Sadiko was a pleasure to work with. Kel answered the phone each time I called. We did multiple texts and emails and he responded to each one quickly, professionally. I am clear across the country from Seattle Toyota and Kel made me feel like I was an old friend. He was honest and most of all went out of his way when I wanted to see photos. We even did a face-chat so that I could examine my vehicle as if I was right there with him. I can't say how much of a pleasure it was to work with this ROCK STAR! His sales manager Nick, the contract team of James and Joyce were all clear and concise with our exchange of information necessary to complete this transaction. Would I buy another vehicle from this crew? You bet'cha! Next time I will fly up, shake their hands and enjoy the road trip cross country! More

Do not buy used cars from Toyota of Seattle ****DO NOT BUY USED CARS FROM TOYOTA OF SEATTLE**** Toyota of Seattle sold me a used car in TERRIBLE mechanical shape. I test drove it, it was fine. I asked the sales man what kind of check they had done, and he said they did a "x point inspection" and found nothing wrong. Lies! I thought, an OEM dealership selling their own used car, the car should be in good shape. I've owned the car for two months, have driven it to/from the park and ride two blocks away from my house. Not much else. And now that I get an oil change at Toyota of Kirkland, they inform me the axle boots are torn, the joints are seized, and the axles must be replaced. No way that happened in the two months I've owned the car. DO NOT buy a used car from Toyota of Seattle unless you get a thorough mechanical inspection from a third party. I'm now out $3,000 parts and labor... on top of what I paid for the car with the issues that Toyota of Seattle failed to disclose. Toyota of Seattle does not fix issues with used cars, sells them as having gone through inspection, in order to maximize profit from the backs of hard working Americans. More

Pro: Helpful service technicians, an easy-to-use website to schedule appointments, friendly face-to-face staff, shuttle service to nearby work or businesses Con: Automatically opted-into solicitations, poor record keeping (associated with oil changes), lack of individual care (fail to provide annual reminders for oil changes and other services). Positive. In several instances, we have dropped our car off for oil changes, tire pressure gauge replacement, and mileage-based service (e.g. fluid replacement, inspection, etc.). During this time the shuttle service would drop us off at our work, before picking us up once the work was completed. In another instance, a tech was happy to assist with the installation of a replacement bulb in our vehicle free of charge (after we paid for the bulb of course). Generally, the staff is friendly and punctual. Negative. Several months ago we started getting solicitations in the mail for everything from discounted fluid replacement service to tire replacement. As we couldn’t recall putting our name on a clipboard or initializing a document, we asked our name to be removed via customer service. Customer support indicated they couldn’t remove our name without our mailing address due to a privacy policy and instead directed us to an 800 number. Given the dealership provided our address to a third-party company, we insisted they remove our name and as of this review have failed to provide assurances future postal solicitations will cease. Let me be clear, the service was exceptional while management’s handling of our opt-out request was pathetic and inspires pause on our continued support of the organization. For now, we are reconsidering our relationship with the dealership and instead will seek a local business, provided they respect our privacy. Customer beware! More

Agreed to arrive the next day with cashiers' check written out for tens of thousands of dollars requiring only a small amount of financing. Was in constant communication with salesman. Over the course of 12 hours, financing through Toyota went from 0%/60 months to 1.9%: told the salesperson this was fine. Arrived at dealership at agreed-to time, test drove the vehicle, agreed to purchase. Sat down, check in hand, ready to sign papers. Was then told there "was a problem". Salesman went to see the gen. manager, Aldo Hoxha and left us waiting for several minutes. I then approached both individuals and asked what the "problem" was. The GM informed me that the bank rates had changed and somehow this changed the overall price of the vehicle? We left and they never called back. Contacted Toyota Corporate, Better Business Bureau, and Attorney General. Avoid this place More
