Very poor customer service My wife and I recently visited the dealership for a used car. They didn't have what we were looking for and left. A "Manager" even came over to ex My wife and I recently visited the dealership for a used car. They didn't have what we were looking for and left. A "Manager" even came over to explain that the type of car we were looking for would be difficult for the money we wanted to spend and we left. The next day while looking at other sites, it listed that Halterman's did have the vehicles we were looking for, but were not shown. The add indicated that the car was in their inventory for 15 days, couldn't be, we were there just a couple of days ago. We sent them an email with the information and another rep. called us to show us the Santa Fe they had at the dealership and wanted to know what time to expect us. We gave him a time and a half hour later called to remind us of the appointment. He instructed us to go to the old Mitsubishi building and ask or him since he works in the new building. We arrived, asked for Tony and were that they were busy and knew from the "Manager" that we came to view the Santa Fe and they pointed in the direction of where the car was located and let us know that someone will be there shortly. After waiting 15mins, the same rep. drove by with another customer and asked us to wait and he will be there shortly. We waited anther 20 minutes before leaving. I was a repeat customer, but not anymore. More

Mr. Garcia was excelelnt to work with. He understood and worked with me as the purchaser. I would recommend him as a sales person. He assisted me in the purchase of the vehicle- as I went to inquire on a t worked with me as the purchaser. I would recommend him as a sales person. He assisted me in the purchase of the vehicle- as I went to inquire on a trade in that was listed on the internet. The internet alledgedly had incorrect numbers which were corrected. However, Mr. Garcia worked with me to make sure that we received the listed prices of the said vehicle. Mr. Garcia was accomodating and provided the specialized customer service that was expected. However, it should be noted that I have previously purchased a Sienna at another dealership and received a much better priceline with no 'hard' sell from the managers at the location of the other dealership (which was in Maryland). I felt that the managers intervening was a 'hard sell tactic', which I did not appreciate. Such as forcing the issue to make the sale immediately, when I stated that I did not want to take the vehicle home- overnight and wanted to discuss the matter with my spouse. They gave me less that 2 hours to make a decision- which I felt again-- was a hard sell. Howver, I told them that I would not purchase if the payments were higher than what I was presently paying- and they met my request. A positive is the service aspect of this dealership. haltermans certifide used vehhicle are a joke bought a 08 Dakota that I was led to believe was a certified used vehicle and have put 3,984.00 in repairs.in the first 3 months. windows not working bought a 08 Dakota that I was led to believe was a certified used vehicle and have put 3,984.00 in repairs.in the first 3 months. windows not working mirrors not working. trans not shifting to high range. they worked on it 3 times for a total on 22 days and trans still not right, tried to get them to take it back and refund my deposit. the offer they made would put me in the hole for 4000. have tried many times to reach a solution and no deal. they even accused me of altering the paper work to indicate it was a certified vehicle. Very dishonest people. Had to take it to a real transmission shop to get it fixed. and they even found seals missing that were left out after haltermans worked on it.when they replaced the valve body in the trans..also just last week on my way to work the exhaust system fell off the vehicle. it was all rotted out.so much for citification! So far I have filed a complaint with the B.B.B.and also with the p.a. attorney gen office. Would have liked to have had the opportunity to speak with the owner Mr.Halterman. but don't seem possible since it took me many unanswered phone calls and a registered letter just to get the gen manger to talk to me and that was a total waste of time .. More
