Once was not enough!!! In November I bought a used 2013 Lincoln MKX from Halterman's. My wife and I were just looking and drove home with a car. The staff was courteous, professional and bent over backwards to get us the best deal possible without a lot of time-wasting haggling. They are straight forward and honest, and the facility is top notch. A couple of weeks back, my wife expressed a desire to get a convertible for herself. While she was at work I went to Halteman's to "look". They got me again and I was able to surprise my wife that evening with the convertible of her dreams. Again, they went the extra mile to ensure the best financing possible for me, and to ensure an elite experience for me, and to deliver the ultimate surprise for my wife. My only experience , so far, with service is to take advantage of the free oil change. The service area is clean, the appointments are prompt, and again just xxxx professional! I do admit that I am reluctant to bring either car in for anything; I am afraid I may end up with another new car!!! GO HALTERMAN"S!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!! More
Oil change old car drive out with new car. Bad experience My husband and I went to this dealership to look at a used Toyota RAV4. We had our two small children with us, ages 1 and 2 (they can't sit still for My husband and I went to this dealership to look at a used Toyota RAV4. We had our two small children with us, ages 1 and 2 (they can't sit still for long). I told the salesman the amount of money we wanted to spend and then we went outside and looked at the vehicles. My husband drove one around the lot a little and then we went back inside. I asked the price of the vehicle but the salesman didn't know. He said the manager had the information. When we got inside, the manager asked if we wanted him to run the numbers. I didn't but my husband agreed. After over 20 minutes later, he came out with a sheet of paper (our kids were very restless at this point) The vehicle was listed for over $6000 more than we wanted to spend, probably the most expensive used RAV4 they had. I was very annoyed as they wasted our time. It was the first dealership we went to and I had already explained we were in no hurry to buy a vehicle so we will look elsewhere. More

VERY SHADY DEALERSHIP !!! I leased a car from this dealership exactly one year ago. At first glance, I found them to be very courteous and professional. So much, that I was goi I leased a car from this dealership exactly one year ago. At first glance, I found them to be very courteous and professional. So much, that I was going to purchase an Avalon from them, once my lease was up. However, Halterman's introduced me to a dent protection plan which promised to cover any Dents or Dings the size of a credit card or smaller. I work in New York City, so when I do drive my car, I'm always expecting a few dings here in there but I noticed that my trunk had a very small and barely noticeable dent on it. So I took it to Halterman's on Veteran's Day 2014 (I'm also a U.S ARMY VET), and showed them the dent. Initially the service people were friendly and told me to have a seat while they take care of it. less than 15 minutes later, someone came out and said that the dent was too big and I needed to go to a body shop. Rather than argue, I called Mike Reilly in the finance department and asked him to either have my dent fixed (because I knew it was smaller than a credit card) or cancel my plan and refund my money for the year that I already paid, since I couldn't use it. He told me to come in and sign a paper. So I went in on 11/15/14 and asked for finance and they told me that someone will be with me. Mike Reilly came out and did not even introduce himself. He said "here sign this". His face was all red and he appeared to have an attitude. So I asked about the $35/mth not appearing on my car payment and he said that he's not going to take it off but rather reduce my months for two years that I still owe on the lease, which was fine with me but I still wanted compensation for the year I paid for. I asked for a receipt and he gave me a cancellation of the plan that was not filled out and said he doesn't have time to fill it out and walked away. I have already filed a claim with the BBB and I have a friend that's a news reporter who is reviewing what I've told him. If they refuse to compensate me for the 1yr that I've already paid, I will let a small claims judge decide on that. Even the person Eric, who sold me the car said that he left Halterman's because he didn't want to be part of their shady dealings. now, whomever from Halterman's that responds to this review, will make you believe that they either tried or resolved this, amicably. The truth is, I've tried to come to a solution and their attitude is, either you take what we are offering or nothing. Read the complaints on the BBB site. they are pretty consistent. I work hard for my money, and don't have money to throw away. Please, go to another Toyota. They are friendly until you need to use, what you've paid for! More

My first thoughts were I bet its a scam to get you in and then either too high priced cars or just plain old crappy ones with overpriced tags on them. After doing a credit app on line they told my son to come down. The car we traded in was really on its way out so we needed a car, crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. We met with Mike R. in sales who introduced us to Anthony G. in finance who went through the computer and suggested a car that he felt would be the best choice for my son, a 2011 Kia Forte. After test driving it my son was happy but afraid the car would not be in is price range. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was and after doing a search online and comparing it with others that it was not overpriced. It was probably the first dealer I ever went to that I didn;'t have to negotiate the price first, Anthony went into detail on how this program will help my son to build his credit and that when he was ready he would be welcome back to see what new deal they could help him with. All in all we were there a few hours but it was worth it and all were happy in the end. I recommend this place to all those who are young and have not established credit yet because unlike a lot of other places this one did exactly what they said they would. Very Happy with the Dealership and all Its staff All the staff did a great Job and the sales person Ray did a wonderful job showing us all the Vehicals and after We choose the Vneza He did a great All the staff did a great Job and the sales person Ray did a wonderful job showing us all the Vehicals and after We choose the Vneza He did a great Job how the Car worked etc..and the Nick The Sales manager came up with a good price and did some extra's ... also Ray showed us the Service Department and the staff...Also I think it was[ Anthony] Sorry forgot His name . He did a wonderful job trying to sell us other products but we didn't want at this time ... I guess someday I should look into other options for extenting the Warrenty. etc... I think that a Car made by Honda should last at least 10 Years before any big problems.. He was very plesant .. and all the personal did a excellant Thanks for the great relief of the Stress of going from 10 other dealers ..all kinds of suv's and ect...Leland and Shirley MacLeod More
