We live 90 miles away from t While waiting for our insurance check we found a suitable replacement vehicle advertised for sale at Halterman's Toyota. We live 90 miles away from there and made contact about the car via telephone. I had a few return calls from them over the week about making an appointment to see the car but could not commit until I had the insurance check in hand. After the check arrived on Tuesday, I called them at 7:45pm to let them know I received the check. The sales person told me they still had the car so I made an appointment for the next day at 12:30pm. Since the drive is about 2 hours each direction, I had to take a vacation day on Wednesday to have to make the deal if all went well. My son and I left for the dealership just before 10am and arrived in the area just after noon and stopped for lunch. As we were eating my cell rang and was told I was late for my appointment. I said the appointment was for 12:30, not 12 and that we would be there shortly. He asked if I got his other message and I said no, what message. He told me they sold the car the night before. I could not believe it. We went to their showroom to find out what happened. We got the rope a dope where no one knows why we weren't told it was sold, but they would be happy to show us something else. Their canned apologies were well practiced, seemed quite condescending and meaningless. We had a 2 hour return trip home to simmer over their inept management and lack of professionalism. I am still considering whether to file a small claims suit to have them reimburse my wasted vacation time and travel expenses. Ciocca Subaru in Allentown was quite the opposite and was the happy beneficiary of Halterman's ineptitude. More

Purchase of my 2014 Toyota Avalon Hybrid I would highly recommend this dealership to purchase a Toyota. The dealer's website is very useful in showing what they have in stock along with the price of the car. What really caught my eye was they offered free delivery of the car. I heard from Chelsea at Haltermans within an hour from when I made an internet inquiry about the availability of the car as well as free car delivery on Saturday. Chelsea made an appointment for me on the following Monday and greeted me when I came into the dealership. My sales guy, Thomas McCree was very personable, courteous and knowledgeable about the features of the Toyota cars. He was very thorough in explaining the features. My purchase was made all the better when the dealer made arrangements for the car to be delivered to my home 1 hour away. More

Everyone that i dealt with was very nice and friendly .Although it was a very long day , wasn't ex Halterman's Toyota was a very pleasant experience . I have already been spreading the word and my daughter wants to go there to car shop soon. I will be back for my maintenance check up in 5000 miles , can't wait to see what new vehicles they will have . More
Expectations and word NOT kept....... After scheduling an appointment for the vehicle I purchased on May 10, 2014, and driving 135 miles o/w, only to find out that all the issues discussed After scheduling an appointment for the vehicle I purchased on May 10, 2014, and driving 135 miles o/w, only to find out that all the issues discussed on the phone with sales manager were not going to be taken care of at all. I was told on the phone by Tracey that yes we would see what we could do to take care of all issues in question. 1) maintainance required light was on, they said due to needing an oil change, they would see if they did one if not that would be taken care of and the light reset. 2) The back hatch door did not lock with key or remote, they would also see about fixing that. 3) And the a c was not continually blowing cold air, they would also check that. 4) CD player did not work. and again they said they would see about fixing that as well. 5) to do the state inspection.she said no problem..We will do our best to get these things fixed for you, and not with the cost on me. When I test drove the car I specifically asked about each one of these issues and was told "oh yes that works, of yes that works oh yes yes yes...Arriving at Halterman's at 10:55 on Friday the 13th of June, I checked in with Tracy and she directed me to service. I checked in went over all issues with service manage Melissa, also informing her that I had to put new tires on the car so it would pass inspection and that I needed an alignment. I asked the cost of that, and told her I would let her know. After about 15 minutes, I informed her to go ahead with the alignment, knowing that I would be paying for that. After the car was in the shop for several hours, Melissa came out and went over the issues in question with me, and then she quoted me the prices for each repair. They were not going to fix anything unless I paid for it myself. My car sale was an as is sale, however I addressed all things listed above in my test drive and was assured they would be addressed and taken care of. After leaving Halterman's at almost 5:30 pm, got onto the highway to come home, the car kept pulling to the right just as it did before the alignment was done. I called and talked to Matt a sales manager, and told him, now he was the last person I spoke to before leaving the dealership and he was in disbelief, I said "ok, it is 135 miles o/w to your place and $35.00 in gas and I was not going to come back for this and it should have been done right the first time." What can we do? Matt took my number and said he was sending a text message saying that after I have it checked locally to let him know how it was dianogsed, and we would go from there. Now I realize this was an as is sale, but all the issues were brought to the attention of the salesman Luis and he said they would be taken care of. This is not to mention that there was no owners manual in the car either. As it stands they did noting but change the oil and charged me for it, and do the alignment whick I paid for too, and it isn't even right. I DO NOT recommend this service department to ANYONE for repairs. They did not follow through with anything that was addressed and what they did do is not correct and needs to addressed again. Oh yes, they do all the right things to get you to buy, but when it come to what they say they will take care of is two different stories. I think that I will also report this to the Better Business Department just so they have it on file.If I am scoring their completion of their customer satisfaction. I give them a 1 with 10 being the highest on the scale. ;0 More

I keep coming back because of their friendliness and competence. Eric Cohen was my salesman on this, most recent, visit and I really appreciated his professionalism and advice. Eric told me to call him if I had any problems but I didn’t listen. Halterman’s is not the closest Toyota dealership to my home. There are several that I have to pass to get to Halterman’s but I found that it is worth it to go there. I had an issue with my recent purchase. I didn’t know if it was serious or not so I went to the closest dealership to me. To make a long story short, I was dissatisfied with the answers that I got so I contacted Eric. What a difference. My problem solved and I am ecstatic with the solution. I want to thank Eric for his work but I can’t limit my gratitude to him alone. Everybody at Halterman’s is committed to do what they can to make you completely satisfied. I have recommended Halterman’s to family and friends. I recommend them to you because they are true to their word and that’s all you can ask of anyone. More
Very hard visit (stressful) I just purchase a used truck a month ago . Just had to get truck inspected cause the sticker was out of date, already, Then they said that I had to ma I just purchase a used truck a month ago . Just had to get truck inspected cause the sticker was out of date, already, Then they said that I had to make appointment . First truck .then I purchased a car, 2 vehicles in one month. Second truck I look up call dealer and went in and I like the truck test drove it. I was ready to buy but truck was not ready they had to send to car service to be check out. So next day sale person said to come in at 6:30 cause he was off. That was too late for me. So I told him I will be in next day with my son . He text me that car was ready. I came in with my son ready to buy . My son test drove it then sale person told me that the car had a few things wrong . Windows we're not working ( sunroof ) is not working and they were not fixing sunroof cause it cost to much. Widows will get fix when I bring car I back . He also said car is old . I have a old car Windows work and sunroof works( crazy right). My son was very disappoint . Also the rear light cover was broken but they didn't event notice that. They said that they check car out .. We'll soon the mgr came over and said sorry what can we do. So they show me another car way out of my budget, This was very stressful my payment were going to be higher . Four hours later got the car, after paper work. Did I make a right choice? I don't know . But one truck and one car car later not happy at all. Please look at your used car before buying . Lights ,widows and inspection stickers. First truck they wanted me to rate them gave me website and card. Second car not talk about at all no card or website to rate them. Thank you Lisa Cruz More
