I drove over a hour to the dealership for a specific used car. While negotiating a price, my final offer of “I’ll give you $xxx more down, if you lower my payment to $xxx”… was accepted by the dealership. car. I went to lunch with my wife for 45 minutes while they printed the forms to sign. I had to wait an additional 45 minutes to finally sign, and when I sat down, they wanted the additional $ down I offered, but didn’t lower the payment as agreed upon. Of course the sales manager came over, explained he’d already lowered the price of the car, and there was “nothing left”, even though he had agreed to my offer before lunch. The car was missing the cargo cover, which they were supposed to lower the price for..they didn’t. It didn’t appear the car was washed, and only the driver’s door was “detailed.” Scratches I noticed on the passenger side were ignored. Gas was added, but tank not filled. More
