I will spare you the whole long story of how poorly I was treated when I needed to bring back the brand new vehicle (from the showroom), for a malfunction that they let me drive away with. I only found out by reading the manual that this needed to be serviced right away. From the 1st phone call it only got worse. So, needless to say, I was never going back there even though the lease came with free oil changes (which didn't include the oil that was recommended, I would have to pay for that). I Googled other dealerships to have my service done. I chose your location for convenience. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a lovely girl who was eager to help me. You could tell she liked her job and gave me wonderful customer service. I was very happy I chose your dealership and the location. I will continue to have my service done at your location and when my lease is up, I will be speaking to your sales staff. Thank you for the great Customer Service! More

Poor communication, high prices I would like to preface this review stating that the only reason I brought my vehicle to Transitowne is because of an extended warranty they sold me w I would like to preface this review stating that the only reason I brought my vehicle to Transitowne is because of an extended warranty they sold me when I purchased the vehicle. When they sold me the warranty I specifically asked if I could bring the vehicle to any mechanic of my choosing. I am somewhat mechanically inclined myself and have a mechanic that I have been seeing for nearly 13 years. They said that would be fine. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I had some transmission issues. I took it to my mechanic to be diagnosed and when he discovered the issue and went to place the claim against the warranty he was told that it would not be honored without a letter of release from Transitowne. Transitowne refused to issue this letter and I had to have it towed to them for the work to be done. The following is a review of my most recent experience. I called to make an appointment for my truck to have some service work done around 1 pm on Tuesday, July 10th. At that point I knew the following work needed to be done, replace rusted oil pan, oil change, and NYS inspection. I also expressed concern of rusting transmission lines and a dashboard battery light that had appeared earlier that morning. I was given a 12 pm appointment for Tuesday, July 17th. On the morning of Thursday July 12th my alternator died and after conversations with the service department I had my vehicle towed in that afternoon. I did not expect for it to be looked at before my appointment date however I was told by reception that they should be able to look at it sooner. As the weekend came and went I was curious and called Transitowne on Monday July 16th looking for an update. I was told that they had not looked at it and that they would try to get it in sometime Tuesday if not by Wednesday the latest. I was unhappy about this as I had an appointment for Tuesday but I remained agreeable. Tuesday came and went, as did Wednesday and Thursday. It wasn't until Friday July 20th that I received a phone call outlining what the mechanic discovered. I was told that the alternator was indeed defective but that it would be covered under warranty. I was also told that my battery was no longer good and that it wasn't covered under warranty. They then quoted me a price of $246 for a battery. That included $98 just to put it in and test it. Installing a batter is a five minute job. Advanced Auto parts does that for free if you buy your battery for them. When I expressed concern I was told that they weren't in control of their prices. I had the warranty work done and I bought my own battery then installed it myself. I've concluded that unless it is covered under warranty I'll be doing it myself or visiting my own mechanic. More
