Last Saturday Misleading Information at Tropical Chevrolet I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience at Tropical Chevrolet. Last Saturday, October 17, 2026, I brought my 2024 Chevrolet Traverse to the service department because of a serious coolant loss issue. The vehicle was losing an entire reservoir of antifreeze within approximately one week, indicating a possible significant leak. We dropped off the vehicle at 8:30 AM, but according to the SMS service updates, the vehicle was not brought in for inspection until approximately 12:00 PM. By around 1:30 PM, we were informed that the vehicle was ready. The only explanation provided was that there had been a coolant leak and that it had supposedly been repaired. No detailed explanation was given about what caused the problem or exactly what was done to fix it. However, what they DID spend considerable time and effort emphasizing was that I needed to pay $2,379.60 for additional services, including replacing supposedly worn brake pads and rotors, along with other recommended repairs. Instead of providing clear information and reassurance about the serious issue that actually brought me to the dealership, I felt pressured to spend thousands of dollars on services I had not requested. And here is the most unacceptable part: Today, October 22, we checked the coolant reservoir, and it was COMPLETELY EMPTY AGAIN. Not a single drop of coolant remained! So what exactly was repaired? How could the vehicle be returned to me as supposedly fixed when the same serious problem is still happening? I feel deceived, taken advantage of, and completely misled by a service department that claims to be professional. In my experience, they seemed more interested in selling expensive additional services than ensuring that the original problem was properly resolved. This is not just about wasting my time. It is about honesty, professionalism, customer safety, and trust. Returning a vehicle to a customer with an unresolved coolant loss issue can potentially lead to serious engine damage. Now, tomorrow, I have to take my vehicle to ANOTHER Chevrolet dealership, hoping to finally receive an accurate diagnosis, an actual repair, and honest treatment. I trusted Tropical Chevrolet to fix my vehicle, not to waste my time, pressure me into spending thousands of dollars, and send me home with what appears to be the exact same problem. I am extremely disappointed, and based on this experience, I cannot recommend their service department. Customers deserve honesty, transparency, and repairs they can actually trust. More
