From Jaguars to Genesis After Jaguars XJ8's and after hearing a lot of great things about the Genesis (especially electronic safety features), I decided to put my toe in the After Jaguars XJ8's and after hearing a lot of great things about the Genesis (especially electronic safety features), I decided to put my toe in the water and lease (3 years) a 2016 Genesis. However, after 36 years of loving the fit, finish, style, power and ride of the big Jaguars, I thought there might be a tough transition and some regrets (except for the part where you have to pay "big" $$$$ for Jaguar services and repairs) after I made the move, Wrong! Loved this car from the get go. The electronics (especially the Heads Up Display) exceeded my expectations, The controls are exceptionally well thought out and intuitive. Ride, noise level and power (even with the 3.8 V-6) are exceptional. And, at the risk of using the word twice, my investigation and leasing experience at Tustin Hyundai also was exceptional. The folks, especially John Moody, were extremely fair and low key on the sale/lease end and super on knowledge, communication, follow up... and, especially patience. When I say patience, as in dealing with someone who takes a lot of time to make up his mind and asks (sometimes repetitively) John Moody should change his name to Job. Very attentive without being pushy. Frequently anticipating my questions/concerns. Never a trace of irritation. I would rate John as one of the best salespersons I have ever dealt with or met. (For context regarding my evaluation of Tustin's salesperson/sales managers: In addition to my personal experience buying cars over 55 years, I have met many salespersons during my representation, over the last 40 years, of one of the largest Chevrolet dealerships in California.
