When it came time to actually buy the car JOSH WHEELAN picked me up at my apartment in his own vehicle, took me to Starbucks for coffee on him, then proceeded to take me to Tustin Mazda where I bought my car in a very simple, pain free process. Exceptionally easy car buying experience I had found the right car on Autotrader - right color combo, right features, low miles, great price - but it was 350 miles away in Orange County. Pictures can only tell you so much, and we've all had plenty of experiences before where the car sounds great, only to discover upon seeing it in real life that there are all sorts of problem the seller didn't disclose. Scratches, dents, rattles, squeaks — cars are impossible to buy sight unseen. I sent a quick email inquiry in anyway... just for research. It seemed like it would remain a pipe-dream, but Janell responded quickly to my initial inquiry, and reassured me every step of the way that the car was in great shape. I also did my due diligence and researched the dealer, and seeing the reviews like this one give me the confidence I needed to put down a deposit over the phone and buy a one-way, next-day ticket to Orange County. The next morning, Janell picked me up in the car at the airport herself, even though it was her day off. The car was in perfect shape, better than I had even hoped. We drove to the dealership, and the purchasing experience was just as easy - everyone there was very fair, honest, friendly, and helpful. By early afternoon I was riving back home in my beautiful Miata! OC / Tustin Mazda is truly a well-run organization - so much so that in the future when I look to purchase another Mazda, I will reach out to them first, despite being over 350 miles away.
