July 6, 2013 to be exact .....we bought a used 2006 Toyota RAV 4 at this dealer. Drove all the way to tustin from Santa Clarita because the pictures looked so impressive on their website. We decided to buy the car AS IS, and financed it to our credit union. A week later engine and door issues came up. We called the dealer and spoked to a used car manager told them about the problem and i was told they will not fix the car because we bought it AS IS. To make a long story short...we decided we are just going to payoff the bank where we financed the car and sell it for less money. In the mean time...it has been a month since we bought the car and our bank has not received the title from this dealer. Our bank tried to call the dealer and left messages...and their calls was not returned. Our bank told us to call ourselves maybe they will call back..so we called and spoked to Kelly at the DMV desk. She told us the title will be mailed to our bank electronically the next day. Four days had passed...and nothing came to our bank. i called the dealer again...left a messages to Kelly the DMV desk person and my calls were not returned. At this point I was already frustrated dealing with them. Something was going on, and Kelly was avoiding our calls. Finally, i called again and spoke to the finance manager Mr Green, told him what happened and why the title was not forwarded to our bank and I asked him where the title of the car and he said they dont have it. And I said what do you mean you dont have it, and his answere was we cant tell you! Its a common practice that the dealer sell the car with out the title. Spent twenty minutes arguing with Mr Green in this regard and he has no symphaty to the us what so ever. All we want was the title of the car be forwarded to our bank that way we can pay them off. Instead, its been a xxxx of an experience dealing with Tustin Toyota. Please..dont bother buying a car at this dealer. Because this can happen to you and you might regret it. I went in for routine service and was talking with the Sales Manager, Mario, and when the service technician told me I needed new brakes, Mario said "Let's get you a new car." I did the math and I probably saved $860.00 by getting a new car than paying for new brakes and the excess mileage charge when the lease expired. It was great. More
