I recently purchased a 2013 Toyota Corolla from Andrew Toyota. My family and I arrived early, a little before 0830. Finally, I approached Shalonda (who apparently was stepping out of a meeting) and asked what time they start selling! After she found out I wanted to test drive a new corolla, she introduced herself as a sales person and could help me. Keys were taken, test drive done without a glitch. Next came the price negotiation. The sales manager came over. Nice man, but he spoke very slowly to me, almost in a condenscending manner. I did not appreciate that, but the price was right so I purchased the vehicle. (By the way, after agreeing on the purchase of the vehicle, I did bump into the sales manager a few times as I was waiting for the car to get ready, no greeting or acknowledgment that we had ever met. It was as if he was done with job and that's that. I wasn't expecting a converstation, but a smile would be nice, or nodding of the head.) Shalonda came back to finish up the documents, but her "boss" did pull her away from us multiple times because she "had to do something for my boss real quick." I think one of those reasons was to move/repark a car. I didn't appreciate that since I was there with my toddler for over 3 hours and he was starting to get tired and cranky. Perhaps her boss didn't know what was going on, but she could have informed him that she was finishing up a sale and would need a few more minutes to get the customer set. I can't help but to think that it's perhaps of the way I was dressed, very simply, perhaps everyone assumed I would not be purchasing so who wants to help that lady? I was informed that they are paid via commission. Anyway, I would recommend a friend to visit them if the price was right. Otherwise, I'm still in the market to find a "dealer for life." I value customer service, and both employees at this dealership voice their value of customer service, but their actions spoke differently. I don't think it was their intention to come off as rude or uncaring, so that is another reason why I would recommend a friend to visit, again, if the price is right. More
My car buying experience at Andrew Toyota was exceptional! The staff was attentive, but not aggressive throughout the sales process. Shalonda greeted us at the door with a warm smile and friendly welcome. Wehad done our homework and were able to tell her exactly what we wanted. I was in for service of my 08 tC, which I had been contemplating trading in for about 9 months now. While I was in, I made a point to say hello to Prentiss, as he has been an excellent help to me in t contemplating trading in for about 9 months now. I utilized Andrew Toyota's free Wi-Fi to get an estimate for my tC. Unbeknownst to Michelle, I was sitting in the dealership still when she tracked down the land line to my home, called and left me a message regarding my quote and inquiry. I called back promptly, and was not disappointed. Michelle's excellent customer service and genuine willingness to seek out the car I was looking for is unparalleled. I requested to work with Prentiss once again the following day. As expected, I was not disappointed. The dedication to customer service, positive attitudes, and genuine friendliness of the Andrew staff, especially Prentiss and Michelle are why I continue to return to Andrew Toyota and highly recommend it to my family, friends, and anyone else who is considering an automotive investment. Marc was great to work with. He really listened to our situation being from out of state with a Florida car to trade. He was always positive and we never felt pressured to make a quick decision.
