Exceptional level of customer care We had visited quite a few dealerships before coming to Volvo. I was dreading the finance dept but couldn't have been more wrong once AJ finished up the sale. In terms of a financier he was very clear and through on what we were paying for. He made it very easy to understand and utilized an easy to read spreadsheet to keep it simple. He showed us the options, was very detailed with the features and benefits of each package. Kindergarten service department I own 3 Volvos.... bought one from them.... the cars was well maintained... I decided to let them do work on the other 2 !! Wow !!! What a mistake... I own 3 Volvos.... bought one from them.... the cars was well maintained... I decided to let them do work on the other 2 !! Wow !!! What a mistake... I got screwed... first I took my sons S60 for some front suspension work.. replace tie rods and engine mounts which was a recommendation from the another dealership where I had the state inspection performed... now I could have just had the work done there ( I work for the dealership) but instead, I said let me give university Volvo a chance since the car I purchased was well kept ..... well , I gave them the list of things that where concerns from my shop ... I told the service writer this is what they found ...could you check the vehicle out and see if there's anything else wrong . I also mentioned that the torgue bushing might be caroaded...About 3-4 days later they call me to pick up my vehicle ..... drove the car for a week, I noticed that something was not right with the way the car felt... the engine was rocking too much.... the car was shaking going into corners ... I took the car back ..showed a different service the torque bushing... the writer said ..."yes. that bushing is definitely busted and needed to be replaced ... at that point , no problem..... they took the car back checked it out call me about 3 days later and said " your vehicle needs control arms on both sides, my shocks weren't performing properly and they will repair $700 + ..... I ask well why didn't they noticed that when they replaced the tie rods..... in case you don't know the tie rods are right where the strut , control arms are locate ... the way this service writer made it seem... was this car is unsafe to drive... the parts can fail at any moment... only problem was he didn't realize that they had just done work on this same car a week or so earlier .... I called back after 3 days without anyone calling me... and I was told you could pay the price or you can pick up your car.... well I called Volvo customer service they said there was nothing they could do... at this point I went and picked up my car..... they will never ever see my 3 Volvos again !! All these years I was servicing at Charlotte Volvo..... excellent service ...they provide you with a loaner until repairs are finished ....never had any problems with them... I will be going to them for future work..... I work for Hendrick Automotive Group and I will see about us not doing anymore business with them and to take our business to Charlotte Volvo... I got screwed big time... I asked for the service manager ..I was told " she was technically on vacation " ...but she was still in the building... if you want your Volvo fix take it to the professionals not University they are still in kindergarten I know the the rating is from 1 to 5 stars but they get a minus -10 stars in my book and that's coming someone that has worked in this business since 1994 More
