It is worth noting that he remained so, even after the actual purchase. For example, when work on the radio was needed, he gave us a rental car so we would not have to drive our own without a radio. This is owner/operator dealership. The president, son of the original owner will work with you and is very responsive. This store is not like the corporate stores where they don't even remember you. There is a reason they are the last of the new car dealerships left in Upper Marlboro. I have bought two vehicles at this dealership and both times have been treated fairly. I saw a used Lexus ES330 on the internet and stopped by the dealership, Bortnick Ford to look it over. A salesman, Mr. Woodson came out to greet me, even though it was a very cold morning. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the vehicle, but not pushy, which put me at ease. I brought my wife back later that day to see the car, not really thinking we would buy right away. Again, Mr. Woodson came out to greet us and answered all of our questions. This is my eighth car purchase and I detest the dealership experience; however, this experience was pleasant. With my research and the information from the salesman, I thought the price of the vehicle was a little better than reasonable. When the salesman offered to get a quote for my trade-in I agreed out of curiosity. I already knew the book values on my vehicle. The dealer's quote for my trade was slightly higher than I expected. They asked me if I wanted them to check into financing. I declined because I had an excellent finance rate from my credit union. Mr. Bortnick suggested he could possibly beat that rate. Finally, I agreed to see what all the numbers looked like on paper. Mr. Bortnick carefully and honestly explained all the figures. He showed us a list of the same year and make vehicle pricing within 250 miles. He mentioned that his price wasn't the lowest because of the excellent condition and options of his vehicle; my wife asked him to reduce his price to the lowest price shown. I was very pleased when he agreed to split the difference. When I mentioned that I had a better trade-in offer he matched it, again to my surprise. They also got me a finance rate nearly 2% lower than my best credit union rate. The deal was too good to pass up from a dealership where I didn't feel like I needed a shower afterward. Now, I am a happy Lexus owner, with a very good opinion of Bortnick Ford. I also have access to services like lifetime loaner, free next oil change, free detailing anytime I come in, service reminders and coupons and a few new friends. This was my first time coming to Bortnick Ford, but I will check here again the next time I'm in the market and recommend this dealership to others. More
