Used Jetta Several months ago, I purchased a pre-owned VW Jetta from VIP (used car section). Few weeks later I discovered there was a problem obtaining the title. When I discovered this, I contacted a lawyer, the DMV and my finance company, I tried to dig up as much info on VIP as possible because I was pissed. If you stop reading right here, you'll think this is a negative review but you would be so wrong. I went in to see the GM, Rich Jakubowski, guns at the ready. I was expecting all the worse, the things we come to anticipate when it comes to dealing with car salesmen (used cars especially). Jakubowski listened to me, recognized how very mad I was and offered me several solutions to the problem. I was still leery of what all he was telling me, since it wasn't going to be an easy or quick fix. Something about his demeanor made me trust him, if only guardedly, at first. I gave him time, As I said, it was not a quick fix. I had to park my car in the garage for nearly two months. Jakubowski gave me a loaner car (which was nicer than the car I bought) the entire time. The first couple of weeks I was a pain in the xxx, calling him sometimes two or three times a week. "Steve, I'm not going to call you unless I have something to tell you." True to his word, he updated me as to what was going on only when he had news, Friends kept telling me, "You want me to handle this?" " You should be doing..." "I would make them do..." I was so confident that Rich was working in my best interest that I kept telling them they have given me no reason to doubt them, they (VIP and specifically Rich) has given me no reason to question their ethics or their honesty. Things happen. Rich being so accommodating and understanding made this potentially negative experience a positive one. At one time, we could take people at their word because they would move heaven and earth to make sure their words were true. Our faith in people has waned because it is easier to lie and suffer the consequences. It is refreshing to know that there are people like Rich Jakubowski in this world. It would have been very easy to write a review if it was a perfect experience. It is a testament to Rich that anyone would take the time to write a glowing review even when things weren't perfect. Rich is a good man. I HIGHLY recommend VIP Honda in North Plainfield, NJ for any future auto purchases. More

A Fast oil change and a great experience. I came into V.I.P. Honda in North Plainfield, for an oil change. I did not make an appointment. The service advisor named Gwen got me in right away. She mentioned about the diagnostic testing to be done and she would call me right away with the results. They were just about to close so the testing was not going to get done until the next day. She asked if someone was coming to pick me up. I stated my wife would be here in about a half hour. At that time she offered me a Loaner Car which I could return after work the following day. I accepted. My wife didn't have to come pick me up and the problem with the car was corrected the following day. Thank you Tara for providing excellent customer service! More
