The people in the service department on 7/8/2022 need some serious customer service training. Phil Russo and Nico (not sure Nico is even his name since he stormed off before I could ask) are rude, arroga some serious customer service training. Phil Russo and Nico (not sure Nico is even his name since he stormed off before I could ask) are rude, arrogant, and incompetent individuals. I would NEVER recommend this service center. I went in for a simple battery replacement (covered 100% under Honda warranty) for my defective 24month old battery. The gentleman in the parts department said service has to test the battery before it could be replaced, I said OK and waited roughly 20mins for someone to test it. A man (Nico) comes to my car and without saying a word opens my car door as we stand by the car. I ask him why he is opening my door and in a rash manner he blurts something out before saying someone can check my battery he then abruptly storms back into the building. We then went inside to talk to Phil (who we were told would get the battery tested) and told him about the rude individual (Nico). Rather than rectify the matter, Phil proceeds to argue and claims the technician is the "nicest guy" and we were the problem. Phil then tells asking the technician why he is opening my door was uncalled for [as if I have no right to question some random person touching my property]. Phil then said "I [phil] was doing you a favor". Someone should inform Phil that doing his job (which he did not even bother to do) is not a favor. There really needs to be management onsite during the hours of operation for this dump. I asked to speak with the manager and was told no one is in. Phil also refused to provide the requested information for his manager whom I plan to contact next during the week and inform them of Phil and Nico's rude behavior. The other two male service advisers were just as useless providing the Services Managers info...One pointed to Phil stating, "he's the boss" and the other stated, "I don't want to get involved" as he walked off. In the end, I was able to get the replacement battery from a reputable Honda dealership. The other service center tested the battery saw it was defective. Apparently reading an error code is too complex for Nico and Phil at VIP Honda. More
