Valley Hi Honda

Just bought an Odyssey(in August) The process was not great. First, there was a problem with the financing (their end). That put a delay in getting the registration. We finally got our new tags after 3 months and after my wife had already been pulled over for expired tags. Then the Odyssey threw a code and started running rough. We had purchased a 36k warranty so we were not too worried. Turns out I had to trailer the vehicle to the dealer because the roadside assistance would not take the vehicle from my house to the dealer. Then, after the dealer assessed the vehicle they informed me that it needed 4K dollars worth in maintenance, maintenance that was not covered under the warranty. Mind you this was a certified used Honda. They informed me that the vehicle needed a tune up, timing belt service, the throttle body cleaned and rear brakes. I called the used car sales manager and he talked to our service advisor and they determined that it only needed the tune up and rear brakes and they would do it at cost. It was 600 dollars for rear brake pads and spark plugs but it still needs the timing belt service to the tune of 2k. Just 3 months after I purchased their “certified” used car. The staff has been very courteous and professional. I am very disappointed in this purchase and Valley Hi Honda. I also have requested the owners manual and multiple occasions and still have not received it. My lesson learned is that the “certified” is meaningless. More
