The dealership offered to give me a “free extended warranty”, yet tried to sneak in $2384 into my loan, and I caught them and called them out on it. Our final number was already decided before this. After much back and forth; they removed the extra fees and reluctantly still gave me the “free warranty”. They wanted to charge $3995 for a “protection package”, which was listed on the sticker for about $3000. This protection package was explained to me to include high quality window and windshield tint. Turns out they use low end tint, and don’t tint the windshield (because it’s actually against the law!). The PPF was considered a “mini” package and didn’t even include the front bumper. In that protection package, they wanted $229 for nitrogen in the tires. They supposedly apply a paint protective product on the vehicle, which can be reapplied every 6 months for a year. Instead they have you decline that in the paperwork, and the window sticker says “initial application”. Again, they say one thing verbally, but do something else. I ended up paying $0 for the protection package. I drove 600 miles to the dealership, and was ready to refer business to them through my large network - instead because of their dishonest and deceitful business practices, I will be warning people. More
