I had an extremely disappointing experience with Van Chevrolet Buick GMC. I brought my 2024 GMC Canyon Denali in for a warranty repair, and the vehicle remained at the dealership for approximately 3½ Chevrolet Buick GMC. I brought my 2024 GMC Canyon Denali in for a warranty repair, and the vehicle remained at the dealership for approximately 3½ weeks. During that time, my vehicle was also damaged while in their custody. I was not proactively notified about the damage and only learned about it when the vehicle was supposed to be returned to me. The customer service surrounding the damage made the experience even worse. Jesus Valenzuela was my service advisor, yet I did not receive proactive communication about the damage before pickup. When I arrived around 6 p.m., Jesus and Ben were present. There was no apology for the fact that my vehicle had been damaged while in the dealership’s possession. Instead, I was questioned about why I had come in on a Friday at 6 p.m., and the tone, body language, and overall demeanor I experienced from both of them came across as visibly annoyed and dismissive. At a minimum, I expected concern, accountability, and basic professionalism after learning that my vehicle had been damaged while under their care. The dealership ultimately told me the original warranty issue had been repaired and that the vehicle was ready for pickup. I left the dealership and, literally about one minute later, the exact same original problem happened again. After having my vehicle for approximately 3½ weeks, damaging it while it was in their possession, failing to proactively communicate about that damage, treating me dismissively when I came to pick it up, and then returning it to me as “fixed” when the original warranty problem clearly was not resolved, I no longer had confidence in allowing this dealership to continue working on my vehicle. I contacted GM Roadside Assistance and had the truck towed to a different GMC dealership — the dealership where I originally purchased it — for further diagnosis and repair. I have also escalated the matter directly with GMC Customer Assistance. This entire experience involved poor communication, damage to my vehicle while in the dealership’s possession, dismissive treatment from the service department, and ultimately an unsuccessful warranty repair. A customer should be able to trust that when an authorized GMC dealership says a vehicle is repaired and ready to be returned, the underlying problem has actually been resolved. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Van Chevrolet Buick GMC. More

Well, we came in so I could check out what the seats look like in the Buick Enclave. Somehow we walked out with a brand new car! Absolutely no pressure from Tom and our experience with Samuel Engler in finan like in the Buick Enclave. Somehow we walked out with a brand new car! Extremely disappointing experience with Van Chevrolet. Buyers, please check EVERY number before signing. We were ready to purchase a 2023 Tahoe Premier and believed we had agreed upon the numbers. As we got closer to finalizing the purchase, we discovered that taxes had been left out of the figures we were being shown, making the deal look considerably better than the actual out-the-door cost. Then, right before signing, we discovered an approximately $4,000 warranty had been added to the deal. We had to question the numbers ourselves to understand why the amount had changed. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable with how the transaction was being handled and decided to walk away. What happened afterward was even more unbelievable. When I told our salesperson, Pierre, that we were done because we didn’t appreciate how we were being treated, his response to me was: “Lmao mam you called me for the vehicle that you wanted” followed by: “You can’t get mad at us cause you didn’t understand how warranty works” I have the text messages and screenshots of the deal. This wasn’t about me “not understanding” a warranty. The problem was transparency. Taxes and thousands of dollars in additional products materially affect a vehicle purchase and should be clearly disclosed and explained—not something a customer has to uncover while reviewing the final numbers. And regardless of any disagreement over a deal, I cannot imagine a professional salesperson responding to a customer with “Lmao mam.” We were serious buyers, had the means to purchase the vehicle, and genuinely wanted this Tahoe. We walked away because by the end of the interaction we simply did not trust the transaction anymore. If you’re considering purchasing from Van Chevrolet, my advice is simple: get the complete out-the-door price in writing before you go in, verify that taxes are included, ask specifically about every warranty/add-on, and carefully compare the final contract with the numbers you were originally quoted. A car purchase shouldn’t require a customer to wonder what else might appear in the paperwork at the last minute. More
