I would strongly discourage anyone from doing business with Vanderggriff Chevrolet's service department. I took my 2024 Chevy Traverse in under the factory warranty because I was told it needed transmi with Vanderggriff Chevrolet's service department. I took my 2024 Chevy Traverse in under the factory warranty because I was told it needed transmission-related repairs. The dealership kept my vehicle for approximately six weeks. During that time, I was repeatedly told the delay was because they were waiting on a transmission part. After about a week, they finally provided me with a loaner vehicle. Before taking the loaner, I was required to sign paperwork stating that I would be financially responsible for any damage that occurred while it was in my possession. When my Traverse was finally returned to me it was filthy, I was shocked to find it had hail damage that it did not have when I dropped it off. The dealership has refused to accept any responsibility for the damage, despite expecting customers to be responsible for any damage to their loaner vehicles. To make matters even more concerning, the repair paperwork I received does not appear to match what I was told during those six weeks. I was repeatedly told they were waiting on a transmission part, but the final repair order indicates the repair involved tightening a loose bolt that was causing a leak. I still have unanswered questions about why my vehicle was kept for so long if that was the actual repair. The lack of communication, the inconsistency between what I was told and what was documented, and the refusal to take responsibility for damage that occurred while my vehicle was in their possession have completely destroyed my confidence in this dealership. If you're considering having your vehicle serviced here, I recommend asking for detailed written updates and thoroughly documenting your vehicle's condition before leaving it with them. More
Poor professional business procedure and ethics practiced at the Vandergriff Chevrolet lot, finance department. The salesman and service department excelled in service to us. We bought a used car for our gr at the Vandergriff Chevrolet lot, finance department. The salesman and service department excelled in service to us. We bought a used car for our granddaughter and her husband that we picked up two days later after routine checks. We also received our contract with the keys, no additional discussion at that time. We delivered the car to the kids six days later and heard nothing for another thirteen days. At that time, now twenty-one days from purchase, we received a request for proof of income. What?? I sent the forms requested and two days later we are told the loan from the credit union has been denied and we have to return to the dealership to sign new forms for a different financing credit union. Because the car has been driven to it's new address across the state of Texas, in West Texas, we cannot refuse and return. Aside from taking it back from our grandkids! That isn't going to happen. We go to the dealership only to be told by the business manager who processed the original loan that a new loan, with DIFFERENT RATE AND TERM, must be signed. How can this legally happen? We now have six additional months and a higher interest rate as well as higher monthly payment. All the loan officer said to us is "it's not our fault, it's the credit union's". Poor Business Ethics at this dealership which means we will never shop there again and word of mouth will be practiced to sway other potential customers from this dealership. More
